With a background in entrepreneurship and
management, Stacy Stine Cary dedicates her time to
Tech Wildcatters. Through the seed accelerator, Stacy
Cary provides mentorship to new businesses.
In September 2015, Tech Wildcatters’ inaugural
EMERGE cohort headed to San Francisco, California.
Under the guidance of mentors, CyberTimez, Dashin,
Mindtalk Technology, SensorSphere, and
LanguageMAPS spent 12 weeks prior shaping
business plans and wearable technology products that
enhance how first responders perform their duties.
The companies pitched ideas at a demo day hosted
by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
3. EMERGE Demo Day
The goal was to demonstrate the value of
available technology as an avenue for DHS grant
funding.
Among the ideas pitched by Tech Wildcatters
ventures was a mobile app that provides critical
translations and information to first responders
aiding non-English speaking individuals and a
mouth guard utilizing bone conduction technology
to improve communication capabilities in loud
environments where headphones are ineffective.
