2. • Today we will briefly review what plot, setting, characters and theme are.
• You will independently write down your thoughts and captured details of a story’s
plot, setting, characters and theme.
• You will work with a partner to create a Venn Diagram that will compare and
contrast two versions of a story using the captured details of the story’s plot,
setting, characters and theme.
• And you will independently…
• Discover 3-4 meaningful differences
• and 3-4 meaningful similarities
in each authors writing structures of the same story
• You will also write a short paragraph reflecting on two stories and give your opinion
of which version you found more enjoyable to read and why
