The Transfer of Energy
 Waves: a disturbance that transmits energy
    through matter or space.

 Wavelength: the distance between one
point on a wave and the corresponding
point on an adjacent wave in a series of
    waves
Wavelength
Amplitude
 Amplitude: the maximum distance a wave
    vibrates from its rest position.
Frequency
 Frequency: the number of waves produced
in a given amount of time.
Energy Transfer
 Sound is produced in vibrations.
 Vibration: the complete back and forth
    motion of an object.
Heat
 Conduction: the movement of heat energy
through or from one substance to another
by direct contact of atoms and molecules.

-Ironing your clothes, spoon in hot
    chocolate.
Heat
 Convection: the transfer of heat in a liquid
or gas as groups of molecules move in
currents from one region to another.

-Boiling water, Hot Air Balloon, Magma
Heat
 Radiation: is heat energy transmitted
through empty space or heating the empty
space by electromagnetic waves or infrared
    rays.

       -Sun, Electric Heater, Fire
COLOR
 White light is made up of many different
colors. The colors that we see are the
colors that are being reflected back at us.
