to drugs or alcohol often struggle to manage their time effectively.

ABOUT THE PATIENT
The inmates / patient who gets admitted in Abhaya recovery centre are directed from the
Abhaya Hospital which is located at the central part of city Bangalore. The treatment
provided here is residential inpatient treatment.

The entry to the recover centre has a purposely

Towards the north. It has a very transparent and wide
opening. It has a welcoming effect.
The reception table is provided for 1 or 2
persons. This space acts as an transition
area for both inmates and the visitors / the
working staff.

11. SPATIAL ANALYSIS
The Abhaya Recovery centre is a 30 bed facility.
At present it has four general ward and six
individual room / double sharing rooms.
Each general room can accommodate 5 to 6
inmates and it has 2 rest rooms attached to the
rooms itself.
Individual rooms has 2 beds and can
accommodate 2 people which has a rest room.
Every rooms has a sufficient number of windows
for light and ventilation.
The room is spacious enough for the inmates to
move freely and comfortably.
The nurse room has the necessary medication for
patients on a day to day basis.
Each of the inmate has to get their medicine and
they are monitored until they consume it.
The schedule has a time allocation for all the
inmates to get their medicine before any other
activity starts.
