The document describes a finite state machine (FSM) model of a car parking system created using Python. The FSM has 5 states - IDLE, WAIT_PASS, RIGHT_PASS, WRONG_PASS, and STOP - that represent different stages of the parking process. Increasing traffic and a lack of parking spaces motivated the creation of smart parking solutions like this one to make the parking process more efficient and reduce environmental impacts. Developing the Python code presented challenges but also opportunities to learn new Python applications and libraries.

2. DESCRIPTION
A Finite State Machine (FSM) is computation model which can be used to
replicate sequential logic, or to represent and regulate execution flow in
other words. Finite State Machines is used to model problems in a variety
of domains, including mathematics, AI, gaming, and linguistics. In this
project, we are making a FSM machine representing working of car parking
system. Our system consists of 5 transitions States. The 5 states of the
system are as follows: • IDLE • WAIT_PASS • RIGHT_PASS •
WRONG_PASS • STOP Our FSM is implemented using "PYTHON"
programming language. The Library that we are using is Tkinter

3. The ever increasing population has led to chaotic city traffic. As a result of the
process of searching a parking lot becomes tedious. It is time consuming
task leading to discomfort. The fuel consumption is on an increasing side
due to such scenarios. The increase in vehicular traffic creates a negative
impact on the environment. In the wake of smart city times these issues lead
us to the need of a „smart‟ solution. In order to resolve these issues and
satisfy the increasing demand for the parking areas, parking management
organizations are trying to implement better and technologically advanced
solutions. A cloud based smart parking application will enable real time
parking availability monitoring and reservation thereby providing better
services to the end users as well as reduce the workload of the parking
administrator

6. CHALLENGES FACED
• The toughest challenge was to code python. It was very challenging to find
the right attributes and extensions for our project.
• Finding the right sources.
LESSONS LEARNED
• While coding using python, we got to learn new applications of python. We
were exposed to new types of libraries, python functions etc
. • An enormous amount of patience and time is needed to restructure and
modify our project (python code).
