The document describes a finite state machine (FSM) model of a car parking system created using Python. The FSM has 5 states - IDLE, WAIT_PASS, RIGHT_PASS, WRONG_PASS, and STOP - that represent different stages of the parking process. Increasing traffic and a lack of parking spaces motivated the creation of smart parking solutions like this one to make the parking process more efficient and reduce environmental impacts. Developing the Python code presented challenges but also opportunities to learn new Python applications and libraries.
