Eid al adna festivity
1. EID AL ADHA DAY
It is the Sacrifice Feast in Turkey and it is the biggest one
in the muslim culture. This festivity is about the chapter
told in the Coran where Abraham shows his will of
sacrificing his son Ismael as God says.
In the Spanish-speaking countries it is known as the
“Feast of the lamb” and in several muslim countries of
Africa it is known as “Tabask”
It is celebrated the 10th
day of the month called “zil-
hajj”and it is after 70 days after the Eid Al-Fitr.
2. Eid al Adna is part of the Hajj and the walking to the
“Meca” that according to this religion it has to be done
once in your lifetime.
Eid al Adna is mainly characterized by sacrificing an
animal in an special ritual to thank God for everything.
People visit poor people and their relatives too. Muslims
go to Meca after praying their God for having sacrificed
an animal.
