1. CarpetFOCUS May 2006
Looking back on the exhibition
DOMOTEX 2006, Intercontuft states
the following actual market trends:
- Compared to last year’s fair, a further
quality increase of the presented
products showed clearly.
- In addition, high-quality products
achieved also better prices.
This increasing trend towards
higher quality leads to two main
consequences for the individual
carpet producers:
1. The treatment of high-quality raw
material as source is essential.
2. The use of advanced technology in
the carpet production is also
absolutely necessary to achieve the
highest quality standards.
Beside the quality aspect, the
production process shall in addition
ensure that the respective final
product will be produced with as little
costs as possible. Last year the prices
for raw materials and for energy
increased. There is almost no means
to influence these costs. Therefore, the
use of advanced and highly productive
machinery gets more and more
important.
The experts of BRÜCKNER Plant
Technologies have developed for
decades drying and coating lines for
the carpet industry according to the
respectively latest technological
aspects.
The main target of BRÜCKNER’s
developers is to achieve a high quality
of the product with minimum raw
material and energy consumption.
Another target is to achieve a high
degree of automation. It must be
possible to operate the complex lines
with as little personnel as possible.
The carpet lines delivered in the last
years by BRÜCKNER proved in
practise already several customers that
these requirements are being fulfilled.

Successful branches
are now autonomous
BRÜCKNER Trockentechnik GmbH
& Co KG (Leonberg/Germany)
established in the beginning of 2006
their three former branches Textile
Technologies, Plant Technologies
and After Sales as autonomous
companies in the market.
The former Plant Technologies
branch acts now under the company
name BRÜCKNER Plant Techno-
logies GmbH & Co KG, Leonberg.
This has reinforced the indepen-
dence of this sector which was
already before very large. The
customer’s contact persons remain
the same. Managing director of the
new company is Gerd Kolmer, the
previous head of the Plant
Technologies sector.

Artificial lawn from Finland - produced on a
BRÜCKNER coating line
BRÜCKNER Plant Technologies
installed in summer 2005 at Saltex Oy
in Alajärvi / Finland a completely new
artificial lawn coating line.
This line has a working width of 4.2 m
and comprises the following main
components:
- J-Box
- Slop-pad unit
- 3 zone DUO-THERM dryer and
stentering machine
- Roller type accumulator
- Ascending batcher with additional
central drive
The new BRÜCKNER DUO-THERM
dryer with gas heating and separate
temperature control for each zone in
the upper and lower air circuit ensures
the most accurate temperature
adjustment of pile side and back of the
fabric. This allows a gentle treatment
of the pile (without deformations) with
high drying capacity.
The concept of the SALTEX line allows
extensions for example for secondary
back coating, an output increase
without high costs or work and the
displacement of machinery parts.
Together with this line BRÜCKNER has
already 3 grass carpet lines with the
new DUO-THERM dryer in operation
in the premises of satisfied customers.
EGETAEPPER A/S can dry faster now with the
SUPRA-FLOW flow-through dryer
satisfaction of the customer. The dryer
operates with a specific evaporation
output of up to 50 kg/m²h.
The SUPRA-FLOW flow-through dryer
was positioned on a high frame which
saves space by allowing the utilization
of the space below for fabric inspection
and batching.
The new SUPRA-FLOW dryer is
provided with a modern process control
unit and ensures thus reproducible
fabric qualities with highest output and
lowest energy consumption.
In only three weeks during the
company holidays, the SUPRA-
FLOW flow-through dryer has been
installed and commissioned by
BRÜCKNER experts at Messrs.
EGETAEPPER A/S in Gram (Den-
mark).
The 4-zone dryer has been integrated
into an existing continuous dyeing line
replacing an older BRÜCKNER dryer.
The investment aimed at an important
increase of the production capacity.
The expected high drying capacity has
been achieved to the complete
