Project Abstract :
The project goal was to fully automate the FX Connect workflow.
Presently the client has two workflows in place for FX Connect, offering various levels of
automation. Both the processes have limited automation and many pitfalls.
There are various use cases in FX Connect, with over 80% of the flow being portfolio trades.
The focus of this project will be on portfolio trades and the proposal is based on the same. The
other main use cases will be included as appropriate and details will be covered on the
completion of the Portfolio design.
Our proposal was to split the project into 3 phases to allow value to be gained from the project
at the earliest opportunity.
Phase 1 will streamline the existing process but will be the minimal delivery required to improve
on current state and as such there may still be manual steps
Phase 2 will remove the manual steps in phase 1 and replace with full STP
Phase 3 will be project completion with improved validation and monitoring and pre-deal credit
checks, booking the deals.
Responsibilities :
 Code analysis and effort estimation for the business requirement.
 Development of different enhancements as per requirement along with proper technical
documentation. And application deployment on web servers.
 End to end implementation of functionalities.
 Version maintaining using CVS as per the changes.

Project 2 : Global Securities Lending

Project Abstract :
SUPPLY : Beneficial owners of securities prior to their sale allow the agent banks to lend their
securities. The extra revenue is generated by investing cash that borrowers give as collateral for
the loaned securities.

3. DEMAND : Hedge fund managers need temporary access to securities to back a position (For
Eg, Shorting a stock). Therefore, a borrower such as a prime broker, who has an established
business relationship with the agent bank, borrows the securities on behalf of the hedge fund.
Accordingly, the prime broker protects the lender from the risk of a bad loan.
