2. Brazil-Japan trade flows
The trade flow between Brazil and Japan grew continuously from 2002 to
2008. In 2010 it reached the record high level of US$ 14 billion, more than
compensating the after crisis fall.

3. Relações comerciais Brasil-Japão
Japan is among the leading foreign direct investors in the country. The
amount invested in the last five years was just under U.S. $ 10 billion.
However, in relative terms, the Japanese presence has been far more
expressive, with room for growth.
The prospects of Japanese investments in Brazil amount to almost US$ 12
billion according to a news survey.
The announced investments are addressed mainly to the automobile
industry and to the electronical, pharmaceutical and steel sectors.

Traditional JBIC partnership will continue to play a key role and help to
overtake the upcoming chalenges in financing the following sectors:

The implementation of the new financial cooperation – the largest amount
so far – will be one of the milestones for the remarkable 2012 year for both
