Responsible for leading the team in a safe manner, this includes being responsible for the safe operation
of Cyber base system, draw works, pipe handling systems, mud circulating systems and BOP Equipment
in accordance with the requirements specified in the operating procedure. I also work very closely with the
Rig Superintendent, Senior Tool Pusher and third party personal. I’m responsible for informing any
deviation from the drilling program. As a Driller I’m also responsible for communicating the Well and Drill
Floor status to all relevant departments.

Responsible for organizing and supervising the jobs on the drill floor, in the derrick, drilling mud,
mixing/storage area and in the mud pump room area as well as assisting the technical department in
carrying out the first-line maintenance of equipment in these areas. Demonstrate and promote safety
leadership and ensure the crew works in the safest possible manner. To lead and direct the crew in
fulfilling there designated duties, plan and conduct rig-floor and related activities so as to meet the highest
standard of international offshore drilling practices. Monitor and adjust the drilling parameters and take
those necessary actions so as to optimise the drilling process and safeguard the integrity of the well. Work
constructively with the Operators representative and with third party service companies so as to contribute
to collaborative working relationships at the rig site. Take immediate remedial action in the event of an
incipient or actual emergency or incident and advise the OIM and operators representative of any issues
as appropriate.

required climb up the drilling tower and help with racking the drill pipe, which is removed from the drill
hole. Obtained this name as they spend a lot of their time on the top of the derrick-racking pipe and can
otherwise be found in the pump room. Can also be required to mix the drilling fluids or mud and ensure
the mix is accurate with the correct chemicals and consistency
