1. My experience includes Systems/Software Architecture, Test, Cockpit Integration, FAA
Certification, and project management expertise during my 30+ years of experience.
I worked in a matrix organization in a high complexity development environment and
managed engineers in multitasking assignments. I used earned value metrics to track,
report, and analyze many Boeing, Airbus and Business Jet projects. I maintained close
interaction with OEM, customers and FAA, on many Boeing and Airbus certifications
during 22 years of working at Honeywell.
Performed Systems/Software Engineering Functions by doing one or more of the
following:
• Developed, allocated and managed complex Avionics systems level
Requirements that translated to High Level Software Requirements.
• Review, develop and document System level operational concepts and mission
statements.
• Researched and developed complex Systems/Software designs and Architectures.
• Develop and analyze algorithms.
• Prepared and/or reviewed documentation for Complex systems designs and
Architectures in accordance with established systems development processes and
procedures.
• Performed System/Software Product integration.
• Verified and validated all aspects of Complex Systems/Software designs to ensure
conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements.
• Produced and/or reviewed technical documents, specifications and standards.
• Supported various specialty-engineering tasks; such as Reliability, Maintainability
& Availability analysis, Integrated Logistics Support, Failure Analysis and Safety
Engineering tasks for complex systems.
• Support site operations activities at OEM and supplier locations.
• Supported proposal development activities, including proposal text development,
cost estimating and presentation activities.
2. Boeing Seattle: I started my career at Boeing Commercial Airplane Company where I
have a patent for unnamed jet airway intersection. The primary Job there was to define
requirements and write software for a new type of multi function display that was
integrated to the cockpit with other Avionics display and other Replaceable Line Units
(LRU). To do that I had to study interfaces to this unit using the ICD and many other
requirements including the systems design and software design documents. The second
job was to write and update the simulation for the new functionality that would be
demonstrated to different airlines which required a total understanding of the systems
which provide me with great experience as a young engineer right out of school.
Boeing Long Beach: As a lead engineer on C-17 for over 5 years I performed structure
requirements definition for Mission Communication Display Unit (MCDU) using
Teamwork and Statement tool to ensure the balance of the requirements and the general
interface from the I/O per DOD-STD-2167A. The MCDU then was integrated with other
software and hardware in to cockpit. Also was responsible for technical interface with
United States Air Force to validate the systems level requirements.
Honeywell Albuquerque: As a systems/software engineer defined the systems
requirements for Navigation, Display, Flight Management Computer, and Auto Pilot and
used MATRIXx and Ada to develop software per DOD-STD-2167A and integrated this
software into a glass cockpit for CH-47 Helicopter.
Honeywell Phoenix: For the past 17 years at Honeywell mainly as a Systems/Software
Engineer defined Systems and Software requirements, performed tiger team to integrate
and upgrade systems and software on many upgrades for systems and software on many
Airbus and Boeing aircrafts:
MD-80/MD-90/MD-10/B747/B767/B717/ERJ-170 As the Tiger team lead,
Performed Systems/Software test and integration and worked on upgrade for MD-
80 -926 in many functional area of the flight management computer. Performed
system level testing and supported FAA certification including writing and
performing Acceptance Test Procedures. Performed transformation/translation
(Systems/Software) of Honeywell legacy flight management computer
(SDP175/185 Pascal) to AMD29050 Ada across the FMS functionalities. All
work was done per DO-178B
B777: As a program manger and hands on technical lead, I was responsible to
write the Software Requirement Documents (SRD) and the embedded software
using DO-178B for the End Item Test (EIT/ESS) and qualification test in “C”
programming language to test the Processor, I/O, AFDX and the power supply
CCA’s on the Boeing 777 & Airbus 380 airplanes
A310: Upgraded the A310 software bug fixes and enhanced logic. As a one man
project lead, updated Systems Document, Updated ICD, Updated Software
Requirement Documents, Wrote code, performed Integration and test and
supported Certification for 10 problems in the area of Display, Navigation, Flight
3. Plan, Vertical Guidance, Lateral Guidance, I/O and Data Link. Also wrote the
SOW and helped managing the project from Technical and financial aspect. All
work was done per DO-178B

Systems Document, Updated Software Requirement Documents, Wrote code,
performed Integration and test and supported Certification for 10 problems in the
area of Display, Nav Data Base, Flight Plan, Vertical Guidance, Lateral Guidance.
Also wrote the SOW and helped managing the project from Technical and
financial aspect. All work was done per DO-178B
A320: As the Tiger team lead, investigated many in service issues that were
raised by Airbus. Reproduced the issues and found solutions to these issues,
updated associated systems and worked with software personnel to implement the
solutions and helped with integration and test of these items. All work was done
per DO-178B
A380: As the Tiger team lead, performed System level test of many flight
management computer functional area including writing and performing
Acceptance Test Procedure, debugging software, verifying and validation
requirements and support FAA certification. All work was done per DO-178B
