DHFL reported a 19.42% rise in net profit for the second quarter of fiscal year 2013. Total income rose 38.86% and loan disbursements and sanctions were Rs. 2,446.75 crore and Rs. 3,270.27 crore respectively. Dish Hospitality was awarded a contract to cater to around 450 employees of Aditya Birla Retail's Andheri site. Dish also catered to over 1,000 people during a Durga Pooja festival event in Vashi. DHFL Q2 Net rises 19.4 percent to Rs 86 crore
Housing finance firm Dewan Housing finance Corporation (DHFL) posted a 19.42 per cent rise in net
profit at Rs 85.85 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2012. The net profit stood at Rs
71.89 crore in the same period of previous fiscal. Total income rose 38.86 per cent to Rs 817.87 crore in
the July-September period compared to Rs 588.98 crore in the same period last fiscal. DHFL has been
growing at over 40 per cent CAGR for over last 17 quarters consistently. This growth is largely because of
the continuous focus on the affordable housing segment in tier-II and III markets. According to DHFL,
loan disbursement and sanctions stood at Rs 2,446.75 crore and Rs 3,270.27 crore, respectively during
the September quarter. For first half of FY13, net profit jumped 18.89 per cent to Rs 163.68 crore
compared to Rs 137.67 crore in the same period last fiscal. Total income in the first half of the year grew
43.26 per cent to Rs 1,556.77 crore and net interest margin stood at 2.84 per cent.
Outdoor catering opportunities for Dish Central
Aditya Birla Retail Ltd.
Aditya Birla who has launched their own brand of stores
called “More”, is currently having 487 Supermarkets
and 14 Hypermarkets. The present strength of
employees in the company is around 9000. Dish
Hospitality has been awarded to cater to their
employees at the Andheri (E) Saki Naka site. The
operations commenced from 15th October 2012,
catering to an approximate staff of 450 employees. Dish
has been serving Breakfast, Lunch and Evening snacks
with a minimum Guarantee given for lunch.
Durga Utsav 2012 at Vashi
The New Bengali Association of Vashi had organised a five
day event of Durga Pooja. Dish had an opportunity to cater
to a crowd of over a thousand, who attended the Pooja
during the Durga festival. There were varieties of counters
set up by the Dish team, i.e live counters, take Away
counter and Fancy Diwali Gifting hampers. A variety of
Vegetarian and Non vegetarian snacks and meals were
served during this event.

‘The Power of Vision’ – Birds of a Feather session at Wadhawan Group Corporate office
Early this Oct’12, a management film titled “The Power of Vision” by Joel Barker was screened at Le Café
for all corporate employees. The movie showed why a shared vision makes decision-making easier, why
effective visions are never expressed in numbers and why a vision must be inspiring enough to challenge
each member of the vision community to grow and reach beyond the previous limits. The movie
included “The Star Thrower Story”, which encouraged participants to think about their actions and how
they can affect the rest of the organization.
Launch of the DHFL Website in Hindi .
It’s a matter of great pride that DHFL is the first housing finance company to
have a Hindi Website. With this launch , the large hindi speaking population of
India can now access the DHFL website in their national language. This augurs
well for brand DHFL, with an increased customer reach and more pertinently,
a better connect.

ArthVeda to launch a Rs. 1000 crore Low Income Township Fund
There is a clear housing shortage in India but there has been disproportionately high investment in
premium housing in Tier-I cities. For instance, Mumbai has seen extremely high investment in premium

housing with the segment above Rs. 1 crore getting materially oversupplied while there has been a
persistent under/non-existent supply in segments below that. ArthVeda is launching a Rs. 1000 crore
Low Income Township Fund and is in discussions with both domestic and international institutional
investors for the same. The fund would invest in mega-townships in carefully selected large urban
clusters with proven low-income housing demand (around Tier-II cities and metro-outskirts).
Joy of Giving week at DHFL
A Joy of Giving week was organized at DHFL in association
with Umang Foundation .Apart from clothes employees could
donate old toys, books , bed sheets, rain wear , foot wear etc
The collection received will be donated to thousands of less
fortunate tribal population.
Training Programme at Central Kitchen
A training programme on Personal Grooming was conducted at
Central Kitchen – DHFL site on 18 October, 2012.A detailed session on
importance of personal grooming, its benefits and how it is directly
related to professional behavior and good conduct was taken up with
the employees.
Fire Hydrant Training session at CIS, Mysore
Prevention is better than cure” is well known and keeping
this in mind the Security Team at CIS, Mysore organized a
Fire Hydrant Training session to Emergency team members.
Scribble Contest at DHFL
DHFL’s online library partner Librarywala.com had organized ‘The Scribble Contest’ inviting budding
authors and poets from various organizations to share their short-stories, poetry and literary articles, to
be judged by noted author, Ravi Subramanian (author of the bestsellers like ‘the Incredible Banker’ and
‘If God Was a Banker’).The winning entries were to be featured in an e-book published by
Librarywala.com. Besides, there was also an intra-organizational contest, wherein the best entries from

Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2013 : Lucky Draw
In continuation to DHFL’s tradition of participating in
Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon every year in
support of Mumbai Mobile crèches we had 25
nominations available to us in the dream run category.
On 25th Sept’12 a draw was organized at DHFL cafeteria
to select the lucky participants for the run. The lucky
winners will run the Mumbai Marathon on Sunday,20th
January’13 .

SportzConsult, listed under the Limca Book of Records as the biggest
Indoor Games for Corporates organized the 10th CORPORATE INDOOR
GAMES 2011 (CIG 2012). The action began on 5th October’12 and ended
on 20th October’12 at The Goregaon Sports Club & The Club, Mumbai
where WHPL, DHFL, Arthveda, MRPL, WGHR and WLRPL represented
