Accuracy: the degree to which a information on a map or in a digital database matches true or
accepted values
Members of the International Cartographic Association’s Commission on Spatial Data Quality
have identified seven elements of data quality:
positional accuracy,
attribute accuracy,
completeness,
logical consistency,
lineage,
semantic accuracy
and temporal information.
6. Attribute accuracy indicates the attribute attached to the points, lines and
polygons features of the spatial database, which are how reliable and reasonably
correct or free from bias.
