3. Introduction
Working in a school is like hearing the word
“interventions” used in innumerable times
a day. And this allow teachers to address any
gaps in a child’s progress or attainment.
Once a need has been identified, effective
intervention can then be used to overcome
any barriers in the child’s learning.

6. Purpose
Interventions carefully created by teachers
not only serve as assistance to learning but
as well give us main concerns on focusing to
the key area of need of each child inside the
classroom. Because many children face
issues in their learning, inter-connected and a
display of concerning behavior may define
the need to address them with proper
intervention.

7. Limitation
As it may seem the rightful choice to address
gaps in their studies, intervention may not
always become as effective as it is.
Ineffective methods of teaching, use of
teaching methods not supporting individual
needs of students and poor guidance may
serve to limit this.

8. Intervention vs. Remediation
Intervention is typically used to target
specific learning disabilities and thus tailored
for each individual student.
Remediation is slightly different in that it is
appropriate for any student who has not yet
mastered a particular concept.

23. How might teachers plan
effective interventions?
In order to plan an effective and
impactful intervention:
Identify what it is you wish to
achieve.
Consider:
1. What will we be doing?
2. Why are we doing it?
3. How we able to monitor the process, and if so, how?
4. And to what aim?
