£2m less than previously predicted, so

save. We still need to find £4m to reach a
balanced budget for this financial year

Skype for
business roll
out
We all now have
Skype for
Business (S4B) installed on our devices,
which provides Instant Messaging and
shows colleagues your availability. This
week you may have noticed changes to
the Skype sign-in address as we prepare
to replace our Unified Communications
system with S4B. See the Skype for

Be part of the response – get the
training to become a part of KCC’s
Emergency Response Team
We’re looking for volunteers to join our
Emergency Response Team. You’ll be
supporting our Emergency Planning team
by providing a variety of critical roles, from
liaising with responders, co-ordinating
activities on the ground, to maintaining
records of the activity taking place. We’ve

end - closing the
2016/17
accounts
We are fast
approaching the end of our financial year, over
the coming weeks we’ll be updating you on all
the impending deadlines and forms that need
completing. Starting 19 January, we will be
holding finance year end briefing sessions for
managers and support staff. These sessions
will walk you through the closedown process
and get you thinking about any year-end
adjustments that you may need to submit. If
you haven’t already booked your place, please
