Who do I create a BSP for?
Students who:
• have bullied others
• have been bullied
• display challenging behaviours
• require additional wellbeing support
• have committed a crime
• are ‘at risk’ of expulsion
Provides clarity around
responding to student
behaviour by:
• Intervening before problem
behaviours occur
• Defining consequences for good
and challenging behaviour
• Skilling student up in weak areas
• Identifying crisis plan
1. Gather relevant information
about the student
2. Convene a meeting with
relevant school staff and
the students parents.
3. Convene a meeting of
relevant school staff to
draft the BSP
Provide a copy to all staff
Effective plans
• Identify and target underlying cause of
student’s behaviour.
• All staff follow plan consistently.
• Monitor and regularly review.
