• This is the most outside-IR35 format you can use
• Suitable for experienced Interim Managers only
• Not all Recruiters like it (but some ask for it). Great for networking.
• Allows you to re-order your contracts depending on your target
• Powerful, consistent, evidence based case studies (stories)
• Extremely easy to tweak for each contract / application.
What’s the best investment to spend a couple of hundred quid on; a new TV, an iPad, weekend away (after
lockdown), home improvements………or a new CV (marketing materials)? What will give the best long term ROI?

2.6 Key Outside-IR35 Points?
• Speak like a business not a job seeker – you provide a SERVICE to your
CLIENTS
• Add your Limited company name at the top of your CV
• Always use a business email address with a proper business domain
• Mention your Interim / Independent status in Summary
• Use terminology that describes what you do for companies / clients
• Have case studies that describe client engagements
• Describe yourself as being “Engaged to do xyz” rather than “Hired to”
• Consider having both a chrono and an outside-IR35 case study CV
• Don’t use the word / phrase Employer or Employment History
• Have Recommendations from CLIENTS
• LinkedIn: add your Limited company as first Position.
Would you go to a business event or meeting with a ‘home-made’ business card? Then why
would you use a ‘home-made’ CV to represent you or your business in the job / interim
market?!

• What is your value proposition / does what is says on the tin statement / purpose of your

• Write in a features and benefits style (see the bits in red)
• Align with the hot skills in your market place.
