social and environmental issues. The often-overlooked impacts of Silicon Valley's rapid growth
and technological progress.
The Social Toll:
1. Skyrocketing Housing Costs
One of the most glaring social impacts of Silicon Valley Probe is its housing crisis. As tech
companies thrive, the demand for highly-skilled workers surges, driving housing prices to
astronomical levels. Many long-time residents find themselves priced out of their own
neighborhoods, leading to increased homelessness and inequality.
