At New Directions we guide accomplished men and women—senior level execu-
tives and professionals—facing significant career decisions, life changes or job
transitions at any time during their careers. Highly customized, our work supports

Full-Time Employment
Seventy percent of our clients come to New Direc-
tions looking for a new senior-level, full-time employ-
ment opportunity. Everything we do centers on quick-
ly finding and landing them the right new job. It is the
basis of our core client action plan, and the primary
focus of our entire transition program.
The New Directions difference is two-fold. First, our
in-depth personal assessment process integrates
near- and longer-term personal goals—particularly
important to successful leaders as they approach and
move beyond mid-career. This helps clients bring an
immediate, sharper focus to their search. Second, by
re-examining clients’ talents, experiences, and their
evolving passions and values, we often can help them
broaden their full-time search or perhaps take it in an
entirely new career direction. We have developed sev-
eral tracks to let all clients explore more self-directed
options and, if they wish, pursue in-depth programs
to make them a reality.
Entrepreneurship
After exploratory workshops to help clients decide
whether an entrepreneurial venture is right for them,
our program takes them through the process needed
to launch start-ups, make acquisitions, buy franchises,
enter into partnerships, establish joint ventures, or
engage in technology transfer projects or licensing
opportunities. We address personal factors, funding,
business plans and structuring, valuations, deal nego-
tiations and potential alliances.
Consulting
We help clients first consider, then launch and run
their own consultancy, addressing both critical per-
sonal success factors and business concepts. We help
them design strategies and promotional materials
and advise on marketing and publicity.
Board Directorships
We help clients identify and assess specific corporate
and not-for-profit board opportunities, address gov-
ernance and liability issues, and take them through
the subtleties of pursuing and landing their chosen
board seats.
Non-Profit Management
Many New Directions clients, having reached their
goals in the business world, want to give something
back, and consider doing so through management or
director/trustee roles in the not-for-profit sector. Our
program gives clients an insight into that world, helps
them assess their suitability for such a move, and pro-
vides in-depth guidance for conducting an effective
non-profit opportunity search.
Life Portfolio Program®
For clients ready to step away from a full-time work
commitment, but not ready for full-time leisure or pas-
sive retirement, our unique program helps them pre-
pare for and create a balance of part-time, income-
producing pursuits and other meaningful activities,
such as continued learning, teaching, humanitarian
endeavors and more family and leisure time.
