Nonprofit trade association representing the interests and needs of the residential, remodeling and light commercial building
industries in Westchester County and the Hudson Valley.
Executive Officer ▪ 2011-Present
Oversee the association’s accounting functions, human resource management, contract management, and the
development of current and long-term organizational goals. Responsible for enhancing and increasing the image and
influence of the association and its national partners. Public relations responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
relationship-building, strategic partnerships, public engagement, and lobbying at the local, state, and federal levels on
behalf of the association, membership, and the housing industry at large.
Developed an agreement with the National Association of Home Builders(NAHB)and the National Association
of the RemodelingIndustry(NARI), recognized competitors, to become the only organization in existence to
represent both associations.
Increased revenue and streamlined the sponsorship process byestablishinga corporate partner program with
several local corporations, including ProBuild, the nation’slargest supplier of buildingmaterials.
Effectively lobbied and mobilized the association’s 2,000+ membership base tohelp convince the New York
State Code Council to remove a residential fire sprinkler mandate from the proposed NY buildingcode.
Improved outreach and advocacy by creatingstrategicpartnershipswith chambersof commerce, economic
development agencies,and multiple NPOs to cross-promote eventsand increase exposure and attendance.
Successfully facilitated a change to the association’s 60-year old name and logo in order to embrace the
remodelingindustry.
Led the planning, permitting, fundraising, procurement, and coordination of all construction materials,skilled
labor donations,and volunteersfor BuildersBlitz, an annual initiative carried out by local Habitat for Humanity
affiliatesto construct two homes in five days for local families, duringsluggish housing markets (2012/2014).
