Contact lenses are the best alternative for replacing the eye glasses. They are available in so

even notice them in your eyes until and unless you are wearing a colored contact lens pair.
Before start using them you must know some of the basics about contact lenses.
Contact lenses come in different types and materials. The wearer can choose the contact lens
type and material based on the recommendation of the eye specialist and the eyes suitability.
Soft contact lenses
These lenses are made from gel-like, soft and flexible plastics known as hydrogels. They allow
oxygen to pass through the eyes as they are very thin and easily adapt to the front surface of
the eye. These lenses have many benefits such as:
 These lenses have very short adaptation time.
 They are available in tints and bifocals also.
Gas permeable contact lenses
These lenses are also known as the RGP and are made from slightly flexible plastics that allow
the oxygen to pass through the eyes. They are rigid and maintain their shape on the eyes. These
lenses are used to correct astigmatism and other refractive errors. The advantages associated
to using them include:
 After the initial adaptation period, they are comfortable to wear and provide excellent
vision.
 They are easy to put on and have short adaptation time.
 They correct most of the vision problems.
 They have relatively longer life.
 They are also available for myopia control and corneal refractive therapy.
Silicone hydrogen contact lenses
These lenses are made from an advanced type of soft material and are the most popular types
of lenses. They allow more oxygen to pass through the lens and reach the front surface of the
eyes. Their benefits are listed below:
 These lenses have short adaptation time.
 These lenses offer increased level of comfort.
 They remain fresh and hydrated throughout the entire wearing cycle.
 They are great for active lifestyles and don’t need to be clean much.

the first time:

 Soak the contacts in the solution for at least one day.
 Wash your hand and dry them with a lint free towel.
 Put in your contact lenses before applying eye makeup.
 Use them for a maximum of eight hours each day.
 After the use, place the lens in your palm and pour a little solution over it and rub each
side lightly with your fingertip for about 5 seconds.
 Pour some solution in the lens case and then place them inside.
 You should change the lens case at least every three months.
 Never sleep while wearing the contact lenses.
