Services Descriptions
Evaluations
The following evaluations and assessments are available: substance use evaluations, co-occurring
evaluations, mental health evaluations, parenting evaluations, disability evaluations, and
psychological evaluations. Our providers utilize a number of comprehensive screening and diagnostic
tools to provide appropriate diagnoses leading to recommendations for treatment and needed services.
Mental Health
Counseling
Mental health therapy for a variety of issues, such as but not limited to, bi-polar, depression, anxiety,
relationship difficulties, personality disorders, and other problems of daily living. Mental health
services include individual counseling once or twice a week and may include significant others and
family. The counseling approach is tailored to the client’s individual needs.
Adult Substance
Use Treatment
Outpatient- A solution focused brief therapy model to address decision making and problem solving.
Motivational interviewing techniques are utilized to provide a client driven treatment plan.
Intensive Outpatient- An evidence based cognitive behavioral program to assist clients in identifying
their individual thoughts and beliefs that often lead to irrational feelings and problematic behaviors
related to substance use and mental health problems.
Adolescent
Substance Use
Treatment
Outpatient - A cognitive behavioral solution focused brief therapy model specifically developed for
adolescents utilizing smaller groups and evidence based practices.
Individualized Adult &
Adolescent Substance
Use Education
An individually tailored educational experience offering current statistics and research on alcohol and
other drugs of abuse. Education services can be goal directed to comply with any case plan, court
order, or client need.
Professionals Program
Outpatient level of care for professionals with substance use or mental health issues. An evidenced
based cognitive behavioral program to effect positive change. This program offers individually driven
time frames to ensure successful completion of client created treatment plans.
Anger Prevention /
Management
An evidence based program developed with cognitive behavioral skills to identify and prevent
feelings of anger. Supporting individuals with previous anger management problems to develop skills
for managing emotions to prevent anger problems in the future.

2. OUR PROFESSIONAL STAFF
We take pride in having a
professionally trained staff capable of
addressing mental health and substance
use needs. Our Clinical Director is a
licensed psychologist and licensed
alcohol and drug counselor with a Ph.D.
and LADC. In addition we have
licensed psychologists, mental health
practitioners and alcohol and drug
counselors. Parallels professional staff
are on the approved provider list for
Probation and many insurance panels.
FEES AND INSURANCE
Appointments for an evaluation require
payment at least 24 hours in advance of
the appointment. Payment for
counseling, substance use treatment,
and education requires payment at the
time services are rendered, unless a
client has made other arrangements.
Payments may be made by cash, check,
DISCOVER, VISA or MASTERCARD,
and Parallels accepts many insurance
plans.
Treatment programs require a down
payment deposit. We offer extended
six-month payment plans.
Our knowledgeable support service
staff are available Monday through
Friday to answer any questions you
have regarding our services. It is
recommended that clients check their
insurance policy or call their insurance
representative to determine the extent of
policy coverage. It is the client’s
responsibility to pay any deductibles,
co-pays.
