3. Introduction
Purpose
The Pittsburgh Clothing Exchange Collective’s website will act as a comprehensive
resource for the Pittsburgh community of swap enthusiasts. The site will provide
essential information about citywide swap events, such as an event calendar that
organizers can submit to. The PCEC site will allow users to promote and share events
via social media, as well.
The purpose of this document is to define the project’s information product requirements
and the Pittsburgh Clothing Exchange Collective (PCEC)’s plan for satisfying these
requirements. This document also details the terms and agreements under which the
information products are being delivered to the client.
The Pittsburgh Clothing Exchange Collective’s website project standards can be
achieved by structuring the information to serve local clothing exchange organizers,
sponsors, volunteers, and attendees. The PCEC website is a valuable resource for all
swap enthusiasts who hope to serve the Pittsburgh community in style.
Goals
1. To give Pittsburgh swap enthusiasts a resource to help them organize and attend
local swap events.
2. To create a place where swap organizers, sponsors, and charitable organizations
can connect and collaborate.
3. To provide the public a quick and easy resource with information about clothing
exchanges/swaps.
Success Measures
In order to determine if the content is helping the website achieve its goals and stated
purpose, the following data will be gathered and evaluated:
Number of hits the site receives per week
Number of events posted to the Events Calendar
Number of social media Shares per event
Feedback received from users

Dependencies & Risks
The Project Description
This project is to design The Pittsburgh Clothing Exchange Collective’s website by
structuring the information to serve local clothing exchange organizers, sponsors,
volunteers, and attendees. The PCEC website is a valuable resource for all swap
enthusiasts who hope to serve the Pittsburgh community in style.
5. Dependencies
PCEC has identified the following dependencies:
Timely and accurate delivery of the online event calendar postings is dependent
on organizers and/or administration notifying the PCEC team within reasonable
time of any schedule adjustments or event detail changes.
Timely and accurate delivery of the website is dependent on other resources.
The designer must meet with the appropriate PCEC committees to review the
website for accuracy to prevent problems with content, submission functions, or
program acceptance.
Risks
PCEC has identified the following risks:
If the online events calendar is not updated in a timely manner, event attendance
may be affected.
If Organizers make changes to the event description, the event listing must be
updated and attendees/participants/volunteers/contributors/sponsors must be
notified.
If inaccurate information is present in the PCEC website or events calendar,
revisions must be enacted quickly to prevent potential scheduling conflicts.
Audience Analysis
Primary Audience:
Potential swap participants/attendees looking for swap events
Individuals interested in volunteer opportunities/community service
Frugal shoppers looking for inexpensive shopping opportunities
Secondary Audience
Swap organizers looking to promote swap events

she has done that, a home page will load with two different options for searching. The
user can search for information about swap events by either choosing the page “Events”

search box in the top right hand corner of the home page.
