3. Instructions
Talk to as many people as possible and when a statement applies to someone you meet, have them sign their
name in the box. Each person can only sign your sheet once. Try to be the first to get five boxes in a row
(horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) and shout “BINGO!” to win.
In the end, we all win by learning more about our peers. Good luck and have fun!

Welcome to our Global Gathering and the TrailheaDX ‘19 Highlights for Developers
I’m <speaker name> and I’m excited to share all the news and announcements from TrailheaDX with you.
TALK TRACK:
Before we jump in, I wanted to provide a quick reminder that Salesforce is always looking for us to join the conversation by using the hashtags “CodeGoals” and "TrailblazerCommunity” to share how you plan to use some of the innovations we’ll discuss today in your roles and at your companies. So I encourage you to share during this presentation.

Here’s a quick recap of what took place at TrailheaDX this year…
TALK TRACK:
Over 2 days of learning at TrailheaDX 2019 we heard about the Salesforce vision for the future and the developer experience through demos, over 200 sessions, and in roadmap previews. It was followed by a 3-day Bootcamp ending with certification testing.
Now, we’re here to build, integrate, become empowered, and have fun. Let’s review the main announcements and dive into some demos. https://youtu.be/a7zXqhnQExI

TALK TRACK:
The Salesforce Customer Success Platform has over 300 new features for us to start building with this month across Platform, Heroku, Mobile, and more. Features like:
Notification Builder: Use clicks to automatically send customized notifications when important events in Salesforce take place, such as a support case on a large opportunity, keeping our teams and customers in the know by giving them the context they need, when they need it.
Heroku Postgres via PrivateLink (GA May 22): Seamlessly and securely connect Heroku Postgres in Private Spaces to resources in Amazon VPC(s), enabling new use cases for customer data
Lightning on mobile brings powerful capabilities of the Lightning Platform to the the Salesforce mobile app. These include apps, navigation, Lightning components in record pages, and the ability to customize mobile record pages using the app builder. And thanks to Salesforces’ Strategic Partnership with Apple, we can develop and deploy iOS apps with our new Mobile SDK that work with the Salesforce Platform to securely access customer records and data.
Visit the link you see here to start building today.
Transition: Salesforce is committed to giving us constant innovation from the start. And they kicked it off with exciting new announcements:

Parker Harris introduces Blockchain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9I0A_Mj0gHA&feature=youtu.be&t=612
TALK TRACK:
This year Salesforce announced Salesforce Blockchain. If you haven’t seen the Opening Keynote, I encourage you to watch it on the Salesforce Youtube channel as Parker Harris gives a great explanation of blockchain technology and the business case.
Salesforce Blockchain democratizes blockchain by making it fast and easy to build. With Salesforce Blockchain:
Admins, developers, and architects can now use Salesforce to build blockchain apps fast, with clicks - which means we can declaratively build apps, networks, and smart contracts that extend CRM to partners and are unique to your business
We can automate blockchain data with the full power of Lightning and make blockchain data actionable with built-in support for Flows, Search, AI, and Bots.
Salesforce Blockchain will also allow us to engage partners easily by connecting apps to share data quickly and securely across your network with complete transparency and traceability.
Salesforce Blockchain is a new way to build trust into any app easily and empower businesses and people to connect in new, trusted ways across any industry.
While this pilots in Winter 20, you can get ahead of the game by learning about Salesforce Blockchain on Trailhead using the link on this slide.
WATCH: Ryan Ellis talks about Lightning Web Components https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t36IFzjXcvs&feature=youtu.be&t=239
TALK TRACK:
With the Salesforce release this past Winter — we’re enabled to build modern apps with Lightning web components. LWC gives us the ability to:
Build with modern web standards like modern javascript, custom elements, classes, and modules - this makes it easy to pick up and deliver fast.
Deliver fast performance by executing code natively in the web engine instead of through JavaScript abstractions - running code to as close to the rail as possible
Interoperate with the code you already have. Run Aura and Lightning Web Components side by side and compose with clicks and code.
And Salesforce will continue to invest in Lightning Web Components. In Summer ‘19 we’ll be able to start using these in Visualforce giving a bridge to the classic experience... and Lightning Out so you can run these components on any website... and start using them in Gmail mail and Outlook.
Transition: But the big announcement for Summer 19 is ….
TALK TRACK:
Salesforce is making it possible to build apps anywhere using LWC Open Source.
Use the same framework on and off Lightning Platform to build engagement apps on Heroku or any platform using the backend language of your choice
Visit lwc.dev to:
Learn the source code to understand the framework by digging into the source code available on GitHub
Contribute ideas and code - submit pull requests, issues, and collaborate with the framework team and the community
Transition: And last but not least, Salesforce touched upon API strategies with Mulesoft…
WATCH: Zayne Turner talks about integration with MuleSoft https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsSu-bh4BiM&feature=youtu.be&t=246
TALK TRACK:
As a reminder, you can connect any data, app, or device on the Salesforce platform with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
Integrate Salesforce apps with external systems to build connected experiences.
Connect data across your enterprise with reusable APIs and integrations, plus build reusable APIs to save dev time in integration projects.
Develop secure integrations that scale as your business grows and make running, scaling, securing APIs and integrations easy.
And now there’s a new way for us to collaborate on APIs with MuleSoft API Community Manager, you can:
Publish and document APIs and increase developer engagement through forums, chat, and case management
Quickly personalize experiences with clicks to know, understand and connect with other developers and teams
Transition: There’s a lot to unpack here.
