At pH 9.5 when diluted, the formulation based
on peracetic acid (PAA) and hydrogen peroxide
(H2
O2
) allows a high level disinfection without
the disadvantages of the glutaraldehyde
(fixing the protein). The disinfection is
performed by oxidation and avoids any risk
of developing resistant bacteria.

In addition to our ecological pre-disinfec-
tant detergent biosanitizer I (I = Instru-
ments) we developed a revolutionary high
level disinfectant without aldehyde: biosani-
tizer E (E = endoscopes). It is a modern spori-
cidal alternative to glutaraldehyde formula-
ted for the disinfection of heat-sensitive
medical devices not autoclavable. Presented
under the shape of a concentrated powder,
it allows savings while reducing the environ-
ment impact when released into waste wa-
ter. Considering the exposure of the popula-
tion to CJD variant disease and the inability
to characterize this risk at individual level, it
is necessary taking into account the trans-
mission risk of the responsible agent of this
disease for all patients by substituting subs-
tances capable of binding proteins by oxida-
tive molecules (APA and H2
O2
