So, a little introduction to me
I am a well presented, polite young
lady with a confident, vibrant and
enthusiastic personality. I am full of
life and laughter and always ready
for a challenge! And as a result of
my dedication and passion, I am a
Vega School of Brand Leadership
graduate, with a degree in Creative
Brand Communications specialising
in Copywriting. Simply put,
Copywriting is creation. A
copywriter is a communicator and
a problem solver. I am able to
connect naturally with an idea or a
person which gives me an
advantage in understanding and
communication. I am a creative, a
conceptualiser and an artist of
words, but my skillset is not limited
to only pen and paper- I am
familiar and efficient with Adobe
Suite software and design and
Microsoft Office.
I have worked across all traditional
and digital mediums,
conceptualization processes and
generating social media content. I
served my internship at Gorilla
Digital Advertising Agency. My role
in the agency included producing
online social media content as well
contributing to campaign concept
and development for brands Brut,
Lux and Oreo, to name a few. In
addition to this brand exposure,
during the course of my stay at
Vega, I had the pleasure of working
with live clients, Cipla and
Smartxchange and completed
briefs for Amnesty International,
Organ Donor Fund, Freshpack
Rooibos Tea, to name a few.
Outside of Vega, I have first hand
exposure promoting and working
with brands Ciroc, J&B, Amstel
among others housed under
BrandHouse and Heineken South
Africa.
As a copywriter, working in a team
environment is essential. Naturally,
I portray leadership qualities and
take first hand initiative; however, I
work well independently and am a
natural self-starter. My
organisational and communication
skills are excellent and stem from
my experience in team leader
roles. Dealing with stress and
working under pressure is no
mystery to me. The approach to my
work is goal orientated and
systematic. I believe that with
perseverance and dedication, all
goals are attainable. Nothing is
impossible with a positive,
ambitious mindset. Doing something
you love, will make you love what
you do even more.
