2. MATERIAL
โข INDOLE CRYSTALLINE = 3 GRAM
โข ETHANOL = 30 ML
โข DISTILLED WATER = 20 ML
โข FERRIC CHLORIDE (FeCl3) = 5.5 gram
3. MIXTURE PREPARATION
1.Take a beaker of 1000 ml.
2.Put beaker on the magnetic stirrer and magnet In it.
3.Take an ethanol of 30 ml and add into the beaker.
4.Then add 20 ml distilled water in it.
5.Take a crystalline form indole of weight 3 gram and put it into the beaker.
6.Leave it for 30 minutes for proper mixing.
7.Then add ferric chloride (FeCl3) of 5.5 gm and reduce the rpm of magnetic
stirrer and .leave it for 24 hours.
8.Thus , material gets polymerized as shown below.
4.
5. WASHING OF POLYMERIZED MATERIAL
1. Take a vaccum filter setup.
2. Put the filter paper on the vaccum filter setup.
3. Clamp the filter paper with the beaker .
4. Pour the polymerised indole into the beaker.
5. Turn on the vaccum filter setup.
6. Thus, filtration process gets started.
7. When all the liquids gets sucked by vaccum filter and dry polymerised indole left into
the beaker.
8. Add ethanol 100 ml into the remaining dry polymerised indole and again do the process
of filtration by turning on the vaccum filter setup.
9. Again add ethanol of 100 ml and repeat the above process.
10.Check the pH of indole every time when we add ethanol to ensure the neutralisation of
solution.
11. pH should come 7. If pH doesn't come 7, add distilled water of 250 ml and then check
pH of solution .Repeat the process again and again until we get the required pH of 7 of
the solution.
12.After all this process , remove the caky polymerised indole from the beaker with the help
of spatula.
6.
7. INTERMEDIATE PRODUCT
1. Put the indole into the crucible . Place the crucible into the vaccum
oven. Set the temperature of oven as 90 C.
2. Leave the indole for 24 hours.
3. Remove the indole from oven.
4. Take pastel motor and clean it with the help of acetone.
5. Grind the dry indole in the pastel motor.
6. Continue this process for 1 hour to make it in a powdered form.
7. Thus, the indole gets prepared i.e. in the powdered form.
8.
9. ELECTRODE CLEANING
A simple way of polishing electrodes is with figure-eight motion
on a cloth polishing pad. When using circular motion,, the
depolishing is often uneven and the surface become slanted.
10. PREPARATION OF ELECTRODE DEPOSITING MATERIAL
1. Take 0.2 gram powdered form of polyindole and put it in the
pastel motor with the help of spatula.
2. Add solution of DMSO.
3. Add binder i.e. nephuan.
4. Mix the mixture for 1 hour in the pastel motor.
5. Deposit it with the help of micro pipette on the top of electrode.
