2. The 180 Degree Rule
This rule will ensure that the viewer will comprehend the relative
position of characters in a scene, and prevent the cinematic space
occupied by these characters from being confusing.
3. The line of action will determine where the
camera will be place to preserve screen direction.
The camera can only be on one side of the line
otherwise the cinematic space will become
illegible.
4. If the camera jumps the line the cinematic space will become
incoherent.
5. The line of action will move as the subjects
move, but the whole time the camera will
stay on the same side of the line of action.
When a large rearrangement of characters
happens the camera will record all of it so
the viewer will maintain spatial orientation.
