Growing up isnt easy, so I chose not to. I can be mature when needed,
but its my immaturirty that truly brings out the creative inside. If in my
late teens I decided to grow up and listen to my elders, I would probably
be working in a factory. I always appreciatted everyones views and
feelings but would always utilise others doubt to power my determination
to prove them wrong.
At the age of 18 I left home being told I was never smart enough to excel,
just because how childish I was. 7 years later and I have a degree, 2 years
of industry experience as well as an incredible group of friends and
some awesome memories that will stay with me for life.
This portfolio should take you through a journey of some of my
expereince as a video creative to date, including work from in-house
to an award winning blog and short film to a music video.

IN-HOUSE VIDEO CREATIVE

PRYSM MEDIA GROUP
Managing and curating all video content was my main responsibility. This involved liasing with
video contras to ensure external briefs are met and all captured footage is recieved and archived
appropriatly. Occassionaly I am required to attend events where I am required to data wrangle
all footage from the various video contras who attend to film the event. Capturing my own footage
at shows is required of which I must edit day highlights of each show either the same day or more
advanced videos done when back in office.
Working closly with the social team I have to create ideas and campaigns that creativly achieves
briefs set by the marketing director. Since joining I have introduced the company to using Instagram
as a marketing tool with specialist use of the stories feature to create videos that engage the
appropriate audience. This has led to mutliple sales upward of £8k

over 30 shows every year covering a variety
of industries including The Business Show,
Marketing Expo and LegalEx.

My first task at GeoLang was to design and develop a new website for the company.
Even though I had no experience in this field I took it upon myself to learn how to
write basic HTML, CSS and PHP. Due to time restraints I looked into developing the
new company website using a CMS ”Wordpress) so it would be editable by anyone
with or without web design/ developing skills. I optimised this so it was effective
across devices and rated high against the Google Insights test. I then continued
to manage and conduct SEO practices across the site.
Working with another designer I was also required to come up with creative campaigns
to implement acoss the social channels that would advertsise the product and
also provide a face for the company. I created a couple of videos including some
animation with the help of a designer who would produce the assets.
GeoLang is a cyber security software startup
specialisng in protecting data across a variety
of platforms.

FAMILY DAYS. TRIED & TESTED
Family Days. Tried & Tested is a family run blog that started on Facebook and has a daily reach of over
5 million. I have always helped as either a creative consultant to help come up with quality ideas and
challenging other ideas to ensure they maximise potential. I help maintain the professional side with
any reviews requiring video conducted and managed by myself which is released to Instagram story
only.
From time to time I am required to film activities that can be edited together and used across multiple
media channels. Announcements from the award winning blog also have a tendency to be done using
video.

the bank.
CAMPAIGN MANAGER &
SOUND SUPERVISOR
2016
FORTRESS
Fortress is a short film drama set in the 60’s following a family as they turn there once pirate
radio station into a country. After the intial development of the script it was my task to run
a crowdfunding campaign to raise 1.5k budget. I exceeded the traget and raised over 2.2k
for the film by creating a 30 day campaign across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter which built
an online hype for the film. This included a variety of photos and videos each giving away
more behind the scenes of the production.
My secondary role was supervising all sound on the project including location sound recording
and post production sound mixing which was suitable for cinema showcase. Location sound
recording proved to be challenghing when at the main location as there was a storm across the
days which made the recordings unusable. However, I managed to use creative ambient noises
to help mix a post production lip sync so it sounded natural.
Fortress is a 6x award winning short film produced
by students as part of thier final major project
which was screened at Cineworld Newport.

IMPRINTS - GALLOWS
OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO
I was approached by Imprints to film a music video for their latest single release of Gallows . They
didn’t have an idea of what they wanted and challenged me to create a video that wasn’t too serious
and showed their fun side whilst still looking slick . After mulling around with a load of ideas from
having kid versions of them to a somalian pirate lost, I aproached them with the idea of using a bath
tub as a portal. The story would then take the band to multiple locations until the final scene where
they arrived at Colston Hall to perform their gig.
Filming took one day and it was edited and published within two weeks. I also created bonus specialist
videos for them to use on their Instagram story to generate more interest.
Imprints are a folk, shanty, gypsy, rock band
based in Bristol.

I optimised this so it was effective across devices and rated high against the Google Insights test. I then continued to manage and conduct SEO practices across the site. Working with another designer I was also required to come up with creative campaigns to implement acoss the social channels that would advertsise the product and also provide a face for the company. I created a couple of videos including some animation with the help of a designer who would produce the assets.   • 6. VIDEO CREATIVE 2017 FAMILY DAYS. TRIED & TESTED Family Days. Tried & Tested is a family run blog that started on Facebook and has a daily reach of over 5 million. I have always helped as either a creative consultant to help come up with quality ideas and challenging other ideas to ensure they maximise potential. I help maintain the professional side with any reviews requiring video conducted and managed by myself which is released to Instagram story only. From time to time I am required to film activities that can be edited together and used across multiple media channels. Announcements from the award winning blog also have a tendency to be done using video. Family Days.   • 7. CAMPAIGN MANAGER & SOUND SUPERVISOR 2016 FORTRESS Fortress is a short film drama set in the 60’s following a family as they turn there once pirate radio station into a country. After the intial development of the script it was my task to run a crowdfunding campaign to raise 1.5k budget. I exceeded the traget and raised over 2.2k for the film by creating a 30 day campaign across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter which built an online hype for the film. This included a variety of photos and videos each giving away more behind the scenes of the production. My secondary role was supervising all sound on the project including location sound recording and post production sound mixing which was suitable for cinema showcase. Location sound recording proved to be challenghing when at the main location as there was a storm across the days which made the recordings unusable. However, I managed to use creative ambient noises to help mix a post production lip sync so it sounded natural. Fortress is a 6x award winning short film produced by students as part of thier final major project which was screened at Cineworld Newport.
  • 8. VIDEO CREATIVE 2017 IMPRINTS - GALLOWS OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO I was approached by Imprints to film a music video for their latest single release of Gallows . They didn’t have an idea of what they wanted and challenged me to create a video that wasn’t too serious and showed their fun side whilst still looking slick . After mulling around with a load of ideas from having kid versions of them to a somalian pirate lost, I aproached them with the idea of using a bath tub as a portal. The story would then take the band to multiple locations until the final scene where they arrived at Colston Hall to perform their gig. Filming took one day and it was edited and published within two weeks. I also created bonus specialist videos for them to use on their Instagram story to generate more interest. Imprints are a folk, shanty, gypsy, rock band based in Bristol.
