3. Production
Once we decide on the film we looked at what the key scenes were. This
is so that the film would be recognizable when people watch it.
A rough script was created so we had an idea of what we had to say.
The only prop that we used, was a book from the library.
The cast:
Isabelle Humm played Hazelnut Ella Grace.
Was filmed by Zara Choudhry.
Edited by Shania Jay.
The swede was edited on adobe Premier.
4. Marketing
We marketed the film by creating the following:
An Instagram page.
A website.
A poster.
We aimed to reach out for people aged between 15 to 20 as I think they
would best understand the film and find it the most funniest.
When the film was released we did get some audience participation.
Looking through the comments we noticed how people said that they
would recommend the film and other people should watch it. The use of
these comments would encourage more people to watch our swede.

8. Distribution
When the film was finished and completely edited, we were the
able to distribute it. The film was distributed by using YouTube.
This was extremely useful as we were able to upload it quickly and
easily with no hassle.
Using the internet was helpful because it is a free platform which
allows us to upload our film on a low budget. Also millions of
people have access to use the internet so it makes it much easier
to get the film known.
9. Exhibition
We released our film on the 18th of January so it has been up for just
under a week.
In this time we got 468 views and 10 thumb up and no comments.
On Instagram we had 20 followers and 3 comments. These comments
included the following:
‘’Some really good acting, I would recommend this short film to
anyone.’’
‘’Such a top notch movie, I recommend everyone to go see it.’’
For our website we got a total of 14 views.
10. What we learnt from this experience
When making this film we noticed how many stages take place in
order for it to get onto peoples screens.
These stages all take time, and so much work goes into the
production, marketing, distribution and exhibition for the film. If all
of this is done correctly then the film released can become a big hit.
