Master Pattern : Manufactured using

Mould : 2 component Silicone Rubber is poured
in an enclosed area which cures with
application of heat and passage of time
Core/Cavity : These are separated by cutting of
the mould along the parting line
Parts : These are made using 2 component
Polyurethane material by the process of cold
casting under gravity and Vacuum to ensure
bubble free parts

14. Soft Tooling
Manufacture of Injection Moulds using
conventional techniques but by simplifying the
design, so that most operations on the mould
would be manual.
The steel used would be soft steel/aluminum
which would limit the tool life but would be OK
for fast turn around time and for small number
of samples
In all probability, single cavity moulds would be
manufactured
