Islamabad was built in 1960 to serve as the new capital of Pakistan, replacing Karachi. It is located south of the Margalla Hills in northern Pakistan. The area is very green with many trees. Islamabad is a planned city with residential, commercial, and government areas, as well as parks and wide roads. Nearby Rawalpindi is an old and important military city that is often considered together with Islamabad as the "Twin Cities". Islamabad has a population over 1 million people and is home to the president, parliament, supreme court and foreign embassies of Pakistan.

Margalla leopard.

and the Prime Minister of Pakistan.Parliment House ,the
Supreme Court, and the embassies of different countries

10. Climate
Islamabad has hot, humid
summers, and mild,
wet winter The hottest
months are May, June and
July. Winter is from October
to March. There is rain in the
winter too and the
temperature in January is
often low as 4 C.
11. People
More than million people live in
Islamabad. People have come from many
other parts of Pakistan to live here.Most
of the people are Muslims. There are
some Christians and Hindus too.
12. Education
There are more than 900
schools and colleges in the
cities. There are many
universities too; among them
are the Quaid-Azam
University and the National
University of Science and
Technology(NUST).
