2. ABOUT UPSRTC, AGRA
• WORKSHOP FOR UTTAR PRADESH ROADWAYS BUSES
IS SITUATED IN AGRA. MAINTENANCE WORK OF
ROADWAYS PASSANGER VEHICLE IS DONE HERE
WHICH INCLUDES SPARE REPLACEMENT
,LUBRICATION , INSPECTION ,REPAIR,TESTING ETC OF
DIFFERENT PARTS OF VEHICLES. MOST OF JOB IS
MANUALLY IN DIFFERENT SECTION PROVIDED FOR
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF DIFFERENT PARTS OF
AUTOMOBILE.
4. ENGINE
• An engine, or motor, is a machine designed to convert
one form of energy into mechanical energy. Heat engines,
including internal combustion engines and external
combustion engines (such as steam engines) burn
a fuel to create heat, which then creates a force.
6. • It is the basic structure of an engine.
• Normally made of aluminum alloys or cast iron.
• Provides strength with relatively simple design.
• Supports and aligns internal parts.
CYLINDER BLOCK
7. PISTON
• A cylindrical-shaped mass that reciprocate back and forth in
the cylinder transmitting force to the crankshaft.
• The top of the piston is called crown and the sides are skirt.
• Piston is made up of cast iron, steel or aluminum.
8. FLYWHEEL
• To store the energy, provide energy when it is needed and
• store.
• Firmly bolted to the hub of the crankshaft.
9. CRANKSHAFT
• Rotating shaft though which engine’s work output supply
to the system.
• Mostly they made of forged steel or cast iron.
• It is attached with the engine block by main bearing.
• Having crank weights attached with crankshaft.
10. CAMSHAFT
• Rotating shaft used to push the valves at proper
timing in engine cycle.
• Can be control hydraulically or mechanically.
• Modern engine have more than cams.
11. FUEL INJECTOR
• A pressurized nozzle which spray the fuel into the incoming
air on SI engine.
• Injector directly spray at the combustion chamber.
• It is placed at the Centre of the combustion camber.
12. CONNECTING ROD
• Rod connecting the piston with rotating crankshaft.
• Provided the contact form piston to the crankshaft.
• Usually made of steel or alloy forged but in small engine
it can be made of aluminum.
13.
14. SPECIFICATIONS OF ENGINE:
• MODEL – T.C. 1312 (TATA).
1. NUMBER OF CYLINDER – 6.
2. BORE SIZE – 102 mm.
3. FUEL USED- DIESEL.
4. FIRING ORDER- 1-5-3-6-2-4
15. DIFFERENTIAL GEAR
• A differential is a particular type of simple planetary gear
train that has the property that the angular velocity of its
carrier is the average of the angular velocities of its sun
and annular gears.
16.
17. CLUTCHES
• A clutch is a mechanism for transmitting rotation, which
can be engaged and disengaged. Clutches are useful in
devices that have two rotating shafts. In these devices,
one shaft is typically driven by a motor or pulley, and the
other shaft drives another device. In a drill, for instance,
one shaft is driven by a motor, and the other drives a drill
chuck.
18.
19. GEAR BOX
Gear Box is often called a transmission. Gear boxes simply
refer to a set of gears and their casing, most commonly
found in automobiles. Since most motor vehicle engines
have high operating and idling speeds, transmissions allow
the machinery to operate efficiently and even aid in slowing
and shutting down machinery.
