1. Firstly, headphones such as sound.
Sound waves are created by small speakers in your headphones using electricity and moving magnets.
The sound waves from the speaker bounce off your eardrums and are translated into music by your
brain. Sound waves bounce off objects and travel through the air to reach your ears, whether they
emanate from another person or a speaker. The waves help your brain figure out where a sound is
originating from and how loud it is.
Other amusing sound examples include:
1. In the distance, a dog barks.
2. On the other side of the room, a creaking door.
3. Scribbling with a pen on your desk.

Salam Muzfirah,
Couldn't agree more with your points. Sound or also known as acoustic is a part of physic which
associated with our daily life routine and OSH. Sound commonly generated by air vibration from vary
sources such as electronic generated music (earphone) or friction between rotating machineries
motors (noise). In OSH, sound is acceptable until it turns into noise which defined as unwanted sound
which affects person psychology. Noise usually measured in decibel (dB). Therefore, OSH provided
permissible exposure limit (PEL) specifically for noise to ensure workers or people are kept away from
the hazards and its risks.

Salam Hardee, thank you for your response. Any idea or comments regarding sound generated
from aero plane? It might have own hazards and risks. Thank you.

Hai Muzrifah,

Hi Suhaili, thank you for your thoughts.
Some of the advantages of physics that we can use in our daily life such as:-
1. From the moment you wake up in the morning, physics is involved in your daily life. An alarm
clock's buzzing sound assists you in waking up on time in the morning. The sound is something
you can't see, but you can hear or feel. The origin, propagation, and properties of sound are
studied in physics. It is based on the Quantum Mechanics notion.
2. The steam iron is an example of a machine that relies heavily on physics to function. "Heat" is
the most important physics principle used in the steam iron. Heat is a sort of energy transfer from
a warmer to a colder substance in thermodynamics. A heated metal base, the sole plate is used in
ironing.
3. Now, whenever you get ready for work or school, you must walk a set distance, regardless of
your mode of transportation. Because of physics, you can easily walk. You have a good grip
without slipping while walking in a park or on a tar road because of a roughness or resistance
between the bottoms of your shoes and the road surface. "Friction" or "Traction" is the term for
the resistance that provides the grip. When a banana peel lands beneath your foot, though, you
fall. What makes you fall now? The reason for this is that the slippery banana peel reduces friction
between your shoes and the road surface.
4. A Ball Point Pen is your weapon of choice whether you're at work or at school. You wouldn't
have been able to write with a Ball Point Pen on paper if Physics hadn't been present. The concept
of gravity comes into play in this scenario. As you move your pen across the paper, the ball
rotates, causing the ink to fall to the top of the ball, where it is transferred to the paper.
Thank you.

Hi Ms Muzfirah,
I totally agree with ur comments. I would like to add how the physics plays important role in
energy field.
Energy exists in many forms in this world, and it is utilized either directly, or by converting it to
other forms of energy. There is solar energy, kinetic energy, electric energy, and wind energy,
and the conversion between these different forms of energy is carried out through specific
physical principles.
Examples include:
Electricity:
Electricity is one of the most important direct physical applications in people's lives and a
major source of energy. It is a continuous stream of electric charges moving inside a conductor
forming what is known as electric current.
The importance of electricity can be understood from the situation in which people live during
the minutes when the electricity is cut off from the homes. All electrical appliances stop
working, the lights go out, and the way of life becomes difficult.
Solar Cells:
With the need for alternative sources of fossil fuels, solar cells have become an important
source of electrical energy, as solar energy is converted into electrical or thermal energy by
solar cells. But there are still some problems in solar systems, which limit the large utilization of
the sun's energy, as solar cells are still under development and research to suit the
requirements of today's life at a reasonable and affordable cost.
Wind Pumps:
A Windpump is a device for moving water by wind power. It is used for pumping water in
