BAJA SAE INDIA: BY manufacturing drag racing car participated in drag race competition
through college.
Name of the Project : Two Wheeler Hybrid Vehicle
Summary: The project aims to make the two wheeler which runs on two
driving mechanisms and having self-charging of batteries by using an
alternator.
In this project we used 48 v 800 watts DC Brushless motor attached
to the rear wheel of the vehicle by using chain gear arrangement. 12 volt
alternator is used to charge the batteries of capacity having 12 volt each
with series combination of 48 volts and parallel 12 volt.
This project results in increase in total running of the vehicle of full
tank to empty increases total output of the machine.
Crush can analysis
Tested the bumper cans with models and for different mesh sizes and
thickness. With report in excel sheet created conclusions.
In this analysis studies the different cases of the crash on bumper with
different velocities to car which helps to decide the material composition for
the production of crush cans.
IS14812 2005 (Rear Under run Protective Device) Regulation studied and
crash analysis in LS Dyna of RUPD completed.
This analysis help us to define the design and material composition of the
RUPD which is necessary to protect the small vehicles to under run from rear
portion of the truck or heavy vehicles. In this project we studied the
different cases of the crashes of the car and heavy vehicles on the RUPD.
Seminar
Subject : Railway Brake System
Summary: The seminar was related to the operating mechanism of railway brake
compressors and the connected links between actual brake shoe and compressed air
reservoir. This was the effort to make the study of railway brakes and to think about
requirements of improvement.
