2.  DNA VACCINATION is a technique for protecting
against disease by injection with genetically
engineered DNA so cells directly produce an
antigen, producing a protective immunological
response.
 GLYCOPROTEIN is any of a class of proteins which
have carbohydrate groups attached to the
polypeptide chain.
 CHIKUNGUNYA : means bending of patient
which describe physical condition

6.  pMCE321 DNA delivered in vivo
 Monkey is injected with CHIKV
 +
 monitored
 After 2 week serum collected & test for immunogenicity

 All the monkey vaccinated developed nAntibodies against
envelope protein.

8.  DNA vaccine constructs showed the induction of cellular
& humoral response in vaccine mice.
 The vaccine is capable for induction of neutralization
antibodies
 Expression of all 3 envelope glycoprotein in single DNA
vaccine .
 Its able to pMCE321 to induced CD8+ CTL response in
mice.

9.  DNA vaccine are more effective they produced
both response.
 DNA vaccine express E1 , E2 & E3 glycoprotein.
 Humoral As well cell mediated response are
seen.
 in mice & non human primates it proved
protection

10.  CHIKV is an emerging pathogen and an
important public health concern.
 Since no licensed vaccine or treatment is
available for the pathogen, there is an urgent
need for an effective vaccine.
 In this development of a DNA vaccine construct that
expresses three of the CHIKV envelope proteins
(E3, E2, and E1), is immunogenic in mice and
nonhuman primates, provides protection in mice ,
and drives neutralizing titers in primates similar to
those observed in human patient convalescent sera.
 Will Provide Immunity Against CHIKV.
