Introduction
a) IKEA was founded in 1943 by Ingvar Kamprad in Sweden, which distributes its
products through retail outlets.
b) The name came from the initials of Ingvar Kamprad (I & K), plus the first letters of
Elmtaryd & Agunnaryd (E & A).
c) IKEA is a privately-held organisation, international home product retailer that sells
flat pack furniture, accessories, bathroom and kitchen items.
d) The idea behind selling of the product is to offer home furnishing products of
goodfunction and design at prices using simple low cost methods.
Summary
Unique Selling Proposition (USP)
IKEA is best known for selling ready-to-assemble simple and stylish furniture such
as beds, chairs, desks and bookshelves, appliances, kitchen cabinets & home
