DOUBLE SPREAD
RATIONAL
LAYOUT
The layout for my double spread page was taken mainly from the likes of
FourFourTwo. For the page I have decided to want a single dominant image on the
left page, taking up the entire page and this is because it is something commonly
seen in all magazine, not just football. Then on the right I have decided to have the
page be mainly taken up by text as a way to balance out having the single image on
the right and I feel they will compliment each other well. However I have included sub
images in-between the text as a way to break the text up and make it easy to digest
for the reader.
MISE EN SCENE
The majority of the page will be football oriented and focused as that will link very
well with my chosen genre. I will also look to have the page dedicated to a team from
the North East, whether it be a smaller local team such as Washington or a more
bigger and well known team such as Newcastle. For the main focus of the double
spread page I think I will look into analysis of a specific player as this is something
frequently seen in most football magaiznes
LANGUAGE AND REGISTER
The language that I will look to use here will include a lot of football jargon as my
target audience are presumed to be interested and up to date with football. The
formality of the text on the double spread page will be a mixture of formal and
informal language, however I think that I will look to make it more formal.
