The start of the piece is set out to be an equilibrium leading on to a disruption and resolution but the sonic trigger adds more disruption and mystery to the intended tranquility.

Cultural codes The accent is very formal as Lizard’s pronunciation is very Sophisticated which further proves his intelligence, the rhythm of the piece is almost like its getting faster, as thought Bill is becoming more and more excited with each word. These effects are due to the use of technology and editing of the piece. The inclusion of this in the editing is used to fool the target audience into thinking they are about to listen to a tense, disturbing and somewhat scary radio drama but however turns out to be a form of comedy.
6. Voices The pitch at the beginning is high and the volume is loud, this is a signifier which connotes that the introduction of the piece is of great importance. As the villain is introduced his voice is low and almost rusty, connoting evil and bad deeds. It is almost that the villain is plotting and conspiring to do harm to our protagonist.
