Editor's Notes

  1. enVisionmath2.0 has a core instructional model that facilitates conceptual understanding. enVisionmath2.0 develops deeper conceptual understanding through daily Problem-Based Learning called the Solve and Share. (CLICK) Each day, the Solve and Share engages students in use of the mathematical practices so they can achieve deep understanding. New concepts are embedded into the Solve and Share problem which help students connect what they already know to new math ideas and strategies. When students make these connections, conceptual understanding emerges. (CLICK )Remember, the write-in text at all captures students’ reasoning and communicating during Solve and Share – every learner is engaged in every way, and every day.
  2. Part of Step 2, again transitions smoothly into Step 3 – Assess and Differentiate. (CLICK) Selected items are identified in the Teacher’s Edition to serve as a short, built-in quiz for each lesson. These items provide data to drive instruction for the differentiation in Step 3.
