Responsibilities
• Strategic execution of the FM teams management of all soft services (Cleaning, catering, security, waste
management, pest control, hygiene, grounds and gardens) and building maintenance (Air conditioners,
generators, vacuum pumps, UPS, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and servicing of fire extinguishers and the
fire detection system) for retail and corporate sites
• Engaging with Engineering, Real Estate, OHS and Project representatives on a weekly and monthly basis
• Engage with relevant ABSA stakeholders at Provincial level. Carry out random site visits and engaging with
branch staff and Area Heads
• Managing the provincial GMP budget to determine spending trends and manage overspending
• Ensure cost is properly allocated in terms of OPEX and CAPEX
• Ensuring compliance with CRES contractual SLA (Service Level Agreement).

• Achieved a 95% individual client satisfaction score and an overall score or 85% in 2016. This is an

• At SAFMA conference our ABSA client was a guest speaker and said that “We have a great FM team”.

• Successfully managed to submit a Project Business Case for a branch at a total of 350K. The largest Project
approved business case nationally.
• Successfully sourcing new suppliers, that are strategically located that can provide a service to our rural
locations and thus drive down costs for a service to be rendered.

PEP Head Office, Distribution Centre’s in Western Cape, Durban & JHB
Responsibilities
• Overseeing the management of all soft services (Cleaning, catering, security, waste management, pest
control, hygiene, grounds and gardens) and building maintenance (Air conditioners, generators, vacuum
pumps, UPS, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and servicing of fire extinguishers and the fire detection
system) for all divisions of PEP Head Office.
• Carrying out due diligence on site (e.g. assessing legal compliance, health & safety, costs and long term
value etc.) and presenting findings and recommendations to the client in line with their needs.
• Providing feedback and reports to clients’ staff, working closely with the Risk Manager, Financial Manager

and General Manager.
• Project management, including planning and procuring resources (Staff, contractors, equipment, etc.),
planning schedules and work flow (Delegating responsibility to the Site Manager and Technical Manager),
evaluating progress, initiating corrective action where necessary and ensuring project implementation within
budgetary and time constraints.
• Managing budget, providing monthly financial reports final approval for resource procurement.
• Ensuring compliance with PEP contractual SLA (Service Level Agreement).

Projects
• Facilitating and liaising with principal contractor on the current 3 year refurbishment project of the PEP Head
Office. This includes office relocations and overseeing the temporary office structures as set out in the
temporary plan. The project cost is estimated R250 million.
• Developing an integrated asset management programme to improve the performance and management of
all serviceable assets to comply with the revamp project. This includes designing an asset tree and PPM’s
(Planned Preventative Maintenance Programme).
Achievements
• Received client recognition for my role in the significant improvement in service levels.
• Reviewed and improved the Helpdesk process flow, resulting in PEP breaking the 100 call barrier for
reactive calls (Never achieved prior to my arrival) and proactive work exceeding reactive work each month.
• Reviewed and improved the budgetary approval process, resulting in more efficient budget management
(On target to achieve 6% savings (under budget) for this financial year).
• Maintained a productivity average of 78% to date.
• Achieved a R9k saving per month for PEP simply through reviewing the procurement of toilet consumables.
• Achieved an overall client satisfaction rating of 4 out of 5 in our annual client satisfaction survey after being
on the site for 7 months.
• Achieved 100% client recommendation score to recommend Drake & Scull to others as opposed to 33% the
previous year.
• Achieved 80% in the annual Drake & Scull external Health and Safety audit for February 2013.
• Been handed the management of the PEP distribution centres in Durban and Johannesburg. This means
having 2 additional Site Managers reporting.
• Recovered R286k owed to our company from the 2012 - 2013 financial year.
• Successfully negotiated the integration of the 2nd
DC in JHB to our contract as well as adding additional staff
capacity to ensure that we maintain SLA compliant.
• With the expansion of the PEP Head Office, successfully negotiated a 20% increase in our management fee
(Excluding annual CPI). This took our management fee from R244k to R308k.
• In addition the DC contract grew by 33%.
• In September 2014 we were given the PEP DC in Kuils River Cape Town to add to portfolio. This took the
growth of the entire portfolio to 25% (R90k per month).
• With restructuring our DC operations in JHB we were able to generate a monthly saving of between R12 –
18k per month over the past 3 months, by repairing damaged pallets onsite. By doing this we saved the
client money on the procurement of pallets as well as reducing the cost of skip removals.

• Managing the support services of this multi-national organisation.
• Overseeing the selection, procurement and management of outsourced contracts pertaining to reception,
switchboard, mailroom, transport, helpdesk, office relocations and maintenance.
• Managing, recruiting and developing a staff compliment of 17, including a management team consisting of a
Transport Coordinator, Procurement Officer, Business Support Manager and a Helpdesk Operator.
• Developing strategic resource plans and procurement strategy to ensure functions within my remit are
sufficiently equipped (Staff, contractors, equipment, supplies, etc.) and the client is receiving a cost effective
service.
• Ensuring the provision of necessary training to develop a multi-skilled work force, resulting in optimum
productivity and minimum disruption in the event of staff absence or equipment failure.
• Drafting monthly reports in relation to on site performance.
• Managing the DSFM budget and signing off invoices.
• Developing strategic objectives to assist the client in reaching their targets.

• Implemented a relocation register to track the movement of all BAT assets.
• For 2011, 97% of all calls logged were closed, 79.3% of all calls logged were closed within 50% of the
rectification time.
• 59.4% of all calls logged were given a priority ranging from 1-3 (Meaning between 1 to 10 hours
respectively).
• Achieved ISO accreditation in Health and Safety (18000:1) and Quality Management (9000:1) at BATSA in
November 2011 (It took 8 months to become accredited).
• Achieved 93% in the annual Drake & Skull external Health and Safety Audit for February 2012.

• Managing this full risk transfer contract, ensuring service delivery according to a strict SLA (Failure to comply
would result in costly penalties).
• Managing a staff compliment of 15 (Team recruitment, selection, training, appraisal and management),
including 2 Managers / Supervisors (Site Manager and Business Support Administrator).
• Reviewing and developing the soft and hard services operational plan for 2011.
• Implementing and managing short and long term projects for Estate Maintenance to meet SLA requirements.
• Identifying areas for revenue enhancement and the reduction of operational costs.
• Identifying areas for service delivery improvement and ensuring a quality service offering at all times.
• Extending the scope of service for Security and Catering (Through up selling).

• Maintaining services to ensure SLA achievement, as well as accurate financial control.
• Handling invoice processing, petty cash management and ISO compliance.
• Compiling monthly reports.
Achievements
• Successfully gained ISO accreditation 18 000:1 and 9000:1 in November 2009.
• Reduced security operational costs by R26k (excl. Vat) per month (from May 2009 to date) - overspends
dated back to 2007.
• Renegotiated the ward security contract in July 2009, increasing our management fee from R17k to R24k
per month (The original contract was not updated since 2007).
• Successfully negotiated a new 5 year contract extension with the current service providers, resulting in a 5
year saving of R270k.
• Implemented a more structured operational approach to cleaning, resulting in a consecutive run of 18 days
without a call logged at Lentegeur in September 2009 (This has never been achieved on-site since
implementation in 2007).
• Reduced the number of absconds by more than 60%.

The largest Project approved business case nationally. • Successfully sourcing new suppliers, that are strategically located that can provide a service to our rural locations and thus drive down costs for a service to be rendered. 1. 2012 – 2015 Drake and Skull Facilities Management (DSFM)/ Tsebo Facilities Solutions a Division of the Tsebo Group Parow Industria, South Africa FACILITY MANAGER PEP Head Office, Distribution Centre’s in Western Cape, Durban & JHB Responsibilities • Overseeing the management of all soft services (Cleaning, catering, security, waste management, pest control, hygiene, grounds and gardens) and building maintenance (Air conditioners, generators, vacuum pumps, UPS, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and servicing of fire extinguishers and the fire detection system) for all divisions of PEP Head Office. • Carrying out due diligence on site (e.g. assessing legal compliance, health & safety, costs and long term value etc.) and presenting findings and recommendations to the client in line with their needs. • Providing feedback and reports to clients’ staff, working closely with the Risk Manager, Financial Manager 3

Projects • Facilitating and liaising with principal contractor on the current 3 year refurbishment project of the PEP Head Office. This includes office relocations and overseeing the temporary office structures as set out in the temporary plan. The project cost is estimated R250 million. • Developing an integrated asset management programme to improve the performance and management of all serviceable assets to comply with the revamp project. This includes designing an asset tree and PPM’s (Planned Preventative Maintenance Programme). Achievements • Received client recognition for my role in the significant improvement in service levels. • Reviewed and improved the Helpdesk process flow, resulting in PEP breaking the 100 call barrier for reactive calls (Never achieved prior to my arrival) and proactive work exceeding reactive work each month. • Reviewed and improved the budgetary approval process, resulting in more efficient budget management (On target to achieve 6% savings (under budget) for this financial year). • Maintained a productivity average of 78% to date. • Achieved a R9k saving per month for PEP simply through reviewing the procurement of toilet consumables. • Achieved an overall client satisfaction rating of 4 out of 5 in our annual client satisfaction survey after being on the site for 7 months. • Achieved 100% client recommendation score to recommend Drake & Scull to others as opposed to 33% the previous year. • Achieved 80% in the annual Drake & Scull external Health and Safety audit for February 2013. • Been handed the management of the PEP distribution centres in Durban and Johannesburg. This means having 2 additional Site Managers reporting. • Recovered R286k owed to our company from the 2012 - 2013 financial year. • Successfully negotiated the integration of the 2nd DC in JHB to our contract as well as adding additional staff capacity to ensure that we maintain SLA compliant. • With the expansion of the PEP Head Office, successfully negotiated a 20% increase in our management fee (Excluding annual CPI). This took our management fee from R244k to R308k. • In addition the DC contract grew by 33%. • In September 2014 we were given the PEP DC in Kuils River Cape Town to add to portfolio. This took the growth of the entire portfolio to 25% (R90k per month). • With restructuring our DC operations in JHB we were able to generate a monthly saving of between R12 – 18k per month over the past 3 months, by repairing damaged pallets onsite. By doing this we saved the client money on the procurement of pallets as well as reducing the cost of skip removals. 2. 2011 – 2012 British American Tobacco Stellenbosch, South Africa FACILITY MANAGER Responsibilities • Staff complement of 3 and an overall compliment of 12 reporting to me. • Managing the support services of this multi-national organisation. • Overseeing the selection, procurement and management of outsourced contracts pertaining to reception, switchboard, mailroom, transport, helpdesk, office relocations and maintenance. • Managing, recruiting and developing a staff compliment of 17, including a management team consisting of a Transport Coordinator, Procurement Officer, Business Support Manager and a Helpdesk Operator. • Developing strategic resource plans and procurement strategy to ensure functions within my remit are sufficiently equipped (Staff, contractors, equipment, supplies, etc.) and the client is receiving a cost effective service. • Ensuring the provision of necessary training to develop a multi-skilled work force, resulting in optimum productivity and minimum disruption in the event of staff absence or equipment failure. • Drafting monthly reports in relation to on site performance. • Managing the DSFM budget and signing off invoices. • Developing strategic objectives to assist the client in reaching their targets. 4

Achievements • Implemented a relocation register to track the movement of all BAT assets. • For 2011, 97% of all calls logged were closed, 79.3% of all calls logged were closed within 50% of the rectification time. • 59.4% of all calls logged were given a priority ranging from 1-3 (Meaning between 1 to 10 hours respectively). • Achieved ISO accreditation in Health and Safety (18000:1) and Quality Management (9000:1) at BATSA in November 2011 (It took 8 months to become accredited). • Achieved 93% in the annual Drake & Skull external Health and Safety Audit for February 2012. 3.1 2010 – 2011 Drake & Scull Facilities Management - DSFM Lentegeur Psychiatric Hospital and WCRC Orthopaedic Hospital Cape Town, South Africa FACILITY MANAGER Responsibilities • Managing this full risk transfer contract, ensuring service delivery according to a strict SLA (Failure to comply would result in costly penalties). • Managing a staff compliment of 15 (Team recruitment, selection, training, appraisal and management), including 2 Managers / Supervisors (Site Manager and Business Support Administrator). • Reviewing and developing the soft and hard services operational plan for 2011. • Implementing and managing short and long term projects for Estate Maintenance to meet SLA requirements. • Identifying areas for revenue enhancement and the reduction of operational costs. • Identifying areas for service delivery improvement and ensuring a quality service offering at all times. • Extending the scope of service for Security and Catering (Through up selling). • Sourcing, selecting and procuring suppliers. Achievements • First and only Manager to date, appointed by Drake & Scull to remain penalty free for 2 years and 3 months. • Maintained the status of Best Managed PPP contract by National Treasury in 2010. • Reduced operational cost of Security by appointing a new service provider. 3.2 2009 – 2010 Drake & Scull Facilities Management - DSFM Lentegeur Psychiatric Hospital and WCRC Orthopaedic Hospital Cape Town, South Africa QUALITY MANAGER Responsibilities • Managing a staff compliment of 4. • Managing all aspects of security, grounds and estate and pest control. • Negotiating, procuring and managing suppliers / contractors. • Maintaining services to ensure SLA achievement, as well as accurate financial control. • Handling invoice processing, petty cash management and ISO compliance. • Compiling monthly reports. Achievements • Successfully gained ISO accreditation 18 000:1 and 9000:1 in November 2009. • Reduced security operational costs by R26k (excl.
