family on February 13,
1879 at Hyderabad
She was a major
freedom fighter who
went on becoming the
first Indian woman to be
appointed as the

National Congress.

9. Contribution in Freedom Fighting
She was joined in the Indian national
movement in1905
In 1925, Sarojini Naidu presided over
the annual session of Indian National
Congress in Kanpur.
In 1942, Sarojini Naidu was arrested
during the Quit India Movement and
jailed for few months with Gandhiji.
