Who you will meet:
• CXOs, VPs, Directors and senior managers
from Canadian healthcare organizations.”
• VP, Directors, Managers from leading
global and local technology solution
providers and vendors
Most of us take great pride in Canadian
healthcare systems and for the large part
for good reason. But, the reality is that our
healthcare system has been lagging behind and
struggling to cope. Conference Board of Canada
marked Canadian Healthcare system as B and
marked it 10 out of 17 countries they had rated.
Reality is that Canadian healthcare system is
locked into a model from 1960s and the system
isn’t known for using innovative technology
efficiently and is one of the last outposts relying
on paper slips and fax machines.
There are 9 million Baby Boomers in Canada and
half of them retiring in the next 7 years and the
other half in the next 10-15 years; to compound
matters, there are less people entering the
workforce than retiring boomers. All this means
is incredible strain on healthcare system which
is already bursting at the seams to provide
services and care, and is rated B. Going forward
it will be incredibly difficult to provide care for a
large cohort that requires it the most and will be
most vulnerable without transforming healthcare
system, technology and practices. Unless a pot
of gold is found and found soon, we will not be
able to offer services we have prided ourselves
on for generations. Unless, we make our
system efficient.
Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data are
transforming healthcare services around the
world, Canadian IoT, Big Data healthcare
industry will be over $100 billion in the coming
decade. We are amidst an industrial revolution
which will transform every aspect of every major
industry and economic sector and it is coming
in the shape of Internet of Things (IoT) and Big
Data analytics, which can help create savings
and efficiencies for every part of healthcare
sector. We are happy to be able to contribute
to the development and growth of the Canadian
healthcare sector by organizing the first Internet
of Things (IoT), Big Data Healthcare Summit
Canada in Toronto, Ontario.
This conference will help you
• Understand tools and technologies available
to improve patient care
• Create efficiency across the supply chain from
health service providers to pharmaceuticals
to insurance
• Relate mobile health, telehealth and remote
care
This conference is a perfect platform to start
discussion regarding adoption of IoT and Big
Data tools in healthcare industry. It brings
together industry experts, professionals and
solution providers to share their thoughts and
case studies.
Hifazat “Faz” Ahmad
Managing Director
