Park is a park area covering a volcanic
field (also known as the Olot volcanic
field) in Catalonia.
• The volcanos, of which there are about
forty within the park, are no longer
active, with the last eruption (Croscat)
occurring about 11,000 years ago.
• Some 980.86 ha of the park, including
the best preserved volcanic cones, are
fully protected as nature reserves.
Volcano
3. The Croscat volcano is considered the most famous volcano in the
park because of its paticularity. One part of it was cut in the past
because it has important minerals and now seems to be a part of a
cake.
