Here’s What The Bible Says About
Healing
posted Feb 20, 2018, 3:16 AM by Ron Hindt [

The Bible has a wealth of
references to miraculous healing
through the work of Jesus Christ
and the workings of faith in God.
God is the ultimate source of
both physical and spiritual
healing, and the Word of God
itself promises the gift of healing
amid overwhelming health
problems, bad relationships, and
life struggles.

The Bible does not link physical
healing with spiritual healing in
particular, which means that
sometimes people are physically
healed when placing their faith in
God – but not all the time. Is it
God’s will sometimes to heal, and
not at other times.
Ultimately, however, full physical
healing awaits in heaven, where
there is a total absence of pain,
disease, sickness, suffering, or
death, according to Revelation
21. The goal, however, is to be
less preoccupied with one’s
physical condition on Earth and
become more concerned with
spiritual conditions, focusing
one’s heart on heaven where
these physical problems are no
longer around.
Some scriptures about physical
healing include “Heal me, O Lord,
and I will be healed; save me,
and I will be saved, for You are
the one I praise” (Jeremiah
17:14) and “Is anyone among
you sick? Let them call the elders
of the church to pray over them
and anoint them with oil in the
name of the Lord. And the prayer
offered in faith will make the sick
person well; the Lord will raise
them up. If they have sinned,
they will be forgiven” (James
5:14-15).
The Bible is also rife with lessons
on spiritual and emotional
healing, such as in Isaiah 33:2:
“Lord, be gracious to us; we long
for you. Be our strength every
morning, our salvation in time of
distress.”

E ectively sharing the Gospel
with others

Even though Christians are expected
to share their faith with others,
many nd it daunting and even
scary to do so. But believers must
rise above this, as God has given His
followers the power to become
witnesses for Christ. According to
Acts 1:18, "You will receive power
when the Holy Spirit has come upon
you, and you will be my witnesses in
Jerusalem and all Judea and
Samaria, and to the end of the
earth."

Allow God to give you a passion and
a burden to share the Good News
with others. It’s not about
developing a lesson plan or
technique; it’s about having an open
heart. Begin by talking about God to
friends and family, and be genuine
and sincere. People will recognize
the true experiences you’re sharing,
so don’t be afraid to open up. You
are not being a witness to prescribe
perfection, so just be real.
Read the Bible regularly and quote
what it says; back up your
statements and answering
questions with verses from the
Bible, as it is the sword of the spirit.
Pray for courage and be bold and
persistent. Don’t think about what
people will think of you, even if they
are of a di erent faith.
No matter how di cult it is to make
others believe in Jesus if you pray
and try hard enough, it will be done.
God tells His children to love every
person unconditionally. This may
not be easy at rst, but be must
follow in the footsteps of Jesus and
be witnesses for Him.
