Responsibilities I have been responsible for all the technical aspects of the pre and post
tender activities for the customer NAV CANADA.
In the frame of the project the company started a new subsidiary activities
in Montreal, where I have been responsible for the operational
implementation of the software for the aeronautical data management and
for all the technical activities related to the project with the final customer.
My main responsibilities have been:
1. promote the software (demo, meetings, working groups, etc) of the
system before the tender delivery and influence the specs.
2. produce all the documentation (technical and economical) for the
tender
3. collect operational requirements from the final user
4. coordinate the Software development with internal and external
laboratories
5. manage the internal software development work-orders (from the
economical and technical point of view)
6. coordinate the software implementation, acceptance with the final
customer
7. interview new personnel to be tasked operational aspect of the
project implementation in the company
8. coordinate theoretical and operational training (on the software and
OJT) for the new employees
The project implementation successfully ended in December 2009, and as

3. result of the good services provided, the original planning for services for 5
years (2008-2013) has been extended for other 7 years.

Responsibilities Manager of the family of products developed for the design and validation
of instrument flight procedures, airspace and ARINC 424 coding.
Part of the family of products I have been responsible for are aeronautical
charting, aeronautical data management, airport data management.
This field represents the core business of the company I work for.
Complete management of complex software system that is market leader in
the world.
Main tasks were related to the economic, financial control of the budget,
resources management; software testing, support to marketing department
for technical proposals for international tenders.
Annual managed budget around 1.5 M€ for software upgrades (not
including custom implementation projects).
Project manager of custom software implementation projects.
Customer support organization and internal training is also part of the main
current responsibilities.
I started to be responsible for a single product and from 2005 I have been
responsible for a group of 7 resources.
Frequent contacts with the civil aviation authorities all around the world
(from Japan to Australia, to Germany, Austria, Canada, etc) for the
implementation of automated systems for the AIS (Aeronautical Information
Systems) management.
German adviser to the International Civil Aviation Organization panel
named “Instrument Flight Procedure Panel”, (ICAO IFPP), due to the DFS
(Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH) air navigation service provider in Germany.
The panel is aimed to define and maintain the international regulation
related to the design and validation of instrument flight procedures.

Navigazione radioelettronica (Radio-electronic navigation).
Degree thesis done at CNR (Italian national research institute) in Naples
titled “Performances analysis of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) in “along
track” configuration”.
Brief description: The performance of an interferometric SAR (Synthetic
Aperture Radar) system has been analyzed in order to obtain the moving
target data. The one bit coding of the data has been implemented.
