Every mother has their own stories on how they faced the sudden changes,
the responsibilities, how they overcome transition stages, and how they
embark on embracing a new world.
Little did I know how challenging being a mom is not until I became one. It
was the most fantastic experience I’ve ever had in life by far.
PRENATAL
Motherhood’s journey begins in pregnancy or adoption, I must say. And every
mom has their stories on how they took up such a role. Some might be
terrified, some might be joyful, and some may be both. It might be terrifying at
first because of many factors; emotional, financial, physical, and social. A
mother has to plan her child’s future, be aware of her body, making sound
decisions for her and her baby’s health. No matter what, a mother prevails the
best for her child.
BIRTH
After birth, every mother’s focus is giving her infants’ needs alongside
recovering from the unbearable pain of labor. It’s normal to feel exhausted
and overwhelmed, feel so much joyfulness, and adore such tiny hands and
feet. The baby blues and uncertain post-partum feelings are standard; that’s
why a mother needs so much emotional support at this time. A mother has to
endure all the changes with a huge heart for her child.

TODDLERS
The most challenging stage, I guess. There is a need for very long patience.
Desire to discover things, mimicking people around them, recognizing familiar
faces, sudden tantrums, starting to be independent; these are some of the
toddlers’ behavior every mother has to go through. Sounds draining? No, it’s
not. It’s the time mothers can go back on track; go back to work, do some
recreational activities, be active in some volunteer works, etc.
A mother’s job begins but never ends. It’s a lifetime fulfillment, and every day
is a chance to learn and raise your child well. Mothers vary in their parenting
styles; whatever it is, they always have the same purpose; to nourish
individuals with kindness, guided with principles, independence, and most
importantly, God-fearing.
