2. INTRODUCTION
Based in Faridabad, Lenskart is a multi-national retail business for optical prescription
eyewear in India. As of May 2022, Lenskart operated 1,000 locations throughout 223 Indian
cities. 3 lakh glasses are produced each month at its New Delhi manufacturing facility.
Peyush Bansal, Amit Chaudhary, and Sumeet Kapahi started the Indian eyeglasses company
Lenskart in November 2010. Peyush Bansal, one of the founding members of Lenskart, was a
Microsoft employee before deciding to launch his own company. He identified the issue with
eyeglasses at the time and, along with his two co-founders, launched Lenskart to address it.

4. COMPETITION RESEARCH
Biggest competitor is Titan Eye plus.
Below are some criterions on the basis of which the competition research has been done :
• Price: If we compare the prices of Lenskart and Titan Eye Plus, we find that Lenskart frames
typically cost between Rs. 1000 and Rs. 1500, whereas Titan Eye+ also provides frames in a nearly
identical price range. In contrast to Titan Eye Plus, however, Lenskart offers a wide range of prices.
• Product: For men, women, and children, Lenskart offers eyewear in more than 5000 different
styles, including eyeglasses, computer glasses, sunglasses, contact lenses, aqua contact lenses, and
more. Since the manufacturers offer such a large selection of designs and trends, it becomes
excellent to select the ideal and wanted eyewear.While Lenskart has more options in terms of styles
and fashionable eyewear, Titan Eye Plus also sells products like eyeglasses, computer glasses,
sunglasses, and contact lenses.
5. • Number of stores: A excellent way to compare two businesses like Titan and Lenskart is to look
at how many stores are present around the country. More than 500 Lenskart locations may be
found in more than 120 Indian cities, while the company has more than 1100 locations worldwide.
• Reviews and Ratings: With more than 3.78L user reviews and a 4.2-star rating, the Lenskart app
has more than 1 Crore downloads.As opposed to Titan Eye+, which has more than 5 lakh
downloads, 8.31T customer reviews, and 4.6-star ratings.
• Regardless of whether Titan Eye Plus is a more established business than Lenskart , the latter has
innovated the eyewear industry by employing several strategies. One will become aware of how to

addition to this, they also revealed the main raw material they used to create the frames and lenses
for Lenskart .

• Indian Public is still not open to purchase eyewear online.
• Trust deficit on testing personnel.
Opportunity:
• They can offer unlimited varieties to customers with their lean operational model
Threat:
• Lack of trust in its business model in tier-2 and tier-3clients
• Another danger is a shortage of qualified individuals ready to work in your shop. If there are many open
positions in your location, you might need to offer more money to get qualified retail personnel.
