3. Usedto+infinitive or would?
Both can be used to talk about repeated
actions or routines in the past.
We used to play cards in the evening.
We would play cards in the evening.
But we do not use would with state verbs:
They used to live in Madrid. ( not would)
They used to be close friends. (not would )

5. Beusedto+noun/pronounor–ing.
It means “being accustomed to” or “being
in the habit of”
We are used to his character.
I don’t mind working hard. I am used to it.
They aren’t used to getting up so early.

6. Getusedto+noun/pronounor–ing.
It means “becoming accustomed to”
We haven’t got used to his character yet.
I don’t mind working hard. I’ll get used to it.
They will soon get used to getting up early.
