1988 to Date: ContinuousEmployment with Scottish Power (SSEB) at Longannet Power Station,

2016 to Present Date : OPERATIONS ENGINEER
Lead all operational and safety rules activities at all Scottish Power Thermal Group redundant sites, and
required to decommission and manage Longannet power station post operation.
Support the Decommissioning Lead as necessary with safety advice, and planning, delivery of safety
documentation and assessments for the purpose of allowing work to be carried out safely.
Provide technical assistance and support for the safe and efficient operation of all plant, apparatus and
equipment required within all Scottish Power Thermal Group redundant sites and the Longannet facility
post decommissioning.
2014 to 2016 : PRODUCTION CO-ORDINATOR SHIFT MANAGER.
Upgrade to the position of site Shift Manager, responsible for efficient operation of the plant, assuming
responsibility and management of site safety. Ensuring compliance with HSE and Environment
regulations, maximising plant value and commercial availability out with normal office working hours.
Carry out the roles and responsibilities of an Assistant Production Co-ordinator.
Assist Shift Manager in safe efficient operation of the plant.
Prioritise all long term and day to day safety, operational, commercial and personnel issues providing
analytic or technical advice and solutions as required.
2002 to 2014 : ASSISTANT PRODUCTION CO-ORDINATOR.
Carry out all roles and responsibilities of a Senior Authorised Person on Site Plant and High Voltage
systems/apparatus. Deliver safety from the system by carrying out the instructions of the Control Person,
prepare, issue, transfer and cancel permit to work safety documentation.
Perform the role of site Control Person defining the necessary requirements to provide safety from the
system, maintaining safe custody of all permit to work isolations, liaise with Control Persons of adjacent
systems which may become affected by operations carried out on site systems. Liaise with maintenance
planners, sanction the release and reinstatement of plant and apparatus for maintenance purposes.
Carry out the role of Authorised person Grid switching and earthing at Longannet 275Kv Substation.

Carry out routine safety rule compliance audits and review of controlled safety and operational documents.
